For the Newbies: Extenders - Questions thread

A quite a few threads about extenders are popping up and I have been getting questions about it lately. Got a question then post it here. Chances are you can find it searching, but a lot of people don’t really pick good titles for their threads, which makes it hard to discern what the topic is actually about so you end up having to go through hundreds of threads to find what you’re looking for.

I will pass on one advice to start.

Up or down? Those are the two ways you can wear extenders. For the first month, I have mostly worn mine down and have gained just under 1/4” in that time frame. I am currently going through a month with it up. However, even before checking for any gains, I can tell you that I can tell the difference already.

I have found that Up works out extremely well in my case. I have a laptop so basically I just lay on my bed, and then the extender is in the up position, which causes my glans to rest on my stomach. Why is this so “special”? Well I have found that my body keeps the glans warm, which in turn drastically reduces the chances of it turning purple AND going numb. I found my glans retain their feelings WAY better too. It’s interesting how just having body heat applied to the glans has reduced the chances of the purple from setting in and helping the glans retain its sensitiveness. Of course what may work for me, may not work for you. Experiment. I realize that not everyone can afford to lay down for hours on end or whatever, but you don’t HAVE to lay down. I found because of this way of wearing it, I can further extend the penis and still retain those feelings. Had I done it with the down position I wouldn’t be able to extend as far.

I find it easier to walk around with the extender up too, but not in public.

Ask any questions if you have any. Other extender users feel free to chime in to help or give some sage advice. Also, you should add in other PE routines too like the Jelq. Don’t fully rely on the extender only.

A few of those threads were asking specifically about gains. Extender users, feel free to post routines/results.

Good idea for a thread. In fact, I really think there should be a “Extender Forum”, much like there is a hanging forum.

I use my homemade White Knight 2 to extend straight out for a couple hours a day. My device is set to about 5 pounds of tension so I almost of compare it to hanging.

I balance out my routine with manual stretching. As much as I can find time for as many times throughout the day. Ideally I don’t go more than two hours without stretching in some way. Except when I’m sleeping of course.

So rather than one super intense session a day, I spread it out over many slightly less intense sessions. Kind of like eating 8 small meals a day instead of one huge one.

Because of the sporadic nature of my workouts, I do not warm up or use heat during my stretches, but because I am careful and they are not super intense stretches, I have not pulled so hard as to injure myself.

This is the “stretching only” routine I have been experimenting with for the last four months and so far I’ve gained .6” of BPEL in those four months.

I love using my extender and I’m always thinking of ways to improve it’s design. You can click on my favorites to see some of my other designs and ideas.

I’m glad you don’t completely compare it to hanging. I really think hanging targets ligs more than anything else. The extender, with them having a base, I feel target the shaft itself.

I just got comfort strap today, for I have previously used the noose style this whole time. First off I’ve had no problems with the noose style. I think it is somewhat of a “learned” art using the noose. It can be used fairly well. I got the comfort strap mostly because I figured it’d be something to try.

First thing I can say is that it PINCHES. My skin kept getting pinched by the strap as I pulled it. I did some searching and found that toilet paper works well, and some seem to mention those bandage wraps. It works out well but there are pinches from time to time. The other thing I can really notice is that the tension is entirely different. With the noose, my penis would kind of hang back because if I pulled the noose any tighter it wouldn’t get any blood. When I used the noose the tip of my penis was at 5.25” last night, so today when I used the comfort strap (same amount of rods and turns) guess what I found out. The tip of my penis was at 6.25” AND the tension springs were actually being compressed for the first time. I had figured that I needed to gain some rods before I’d see that happening.

Anyways, with the noose I gained 1/4” in just over a month. Now that the comfort strap is causing the extender to start using the springs, I’m expecting entirely different results now.

It doesn’t put stress on your back, also. That’s something that many seems to not consider, but hanging several pound from your dick (expecially sitting) can take it’s toll; I think no one older than 40’s should do hanging. Ok, I’m divagating now.

I`m not sure I completely agree with you on what the base does.

Traditional hanging:
Imagine a rope hanging down through a hole in the ceiling, when you hang off it it pulls the length of the rope (or the shaft) and whatever it`s attached to above the ceiling (the ligs).

Extender:
Now imagine the same thing but this time the rope is coming up through a hole in the floor. you can not just hang off it so you need to stand over the hole with you feet as the base while you pull up on the rope. Again you are pulling the length of the rope (the shaft) and whatever is in the hole (the ligs) just as much.

To me, the only way you could target just the shaft is by clamping hard (bib hanger or similar) to the base of the penis and pushing away from that point to another clamp at the glans end of the penis, but thats not how I understand extenders work. They attach tight to the glans end and pull against everything that connects between the glans and whatever the ligs attach to.

Wetmayo, I really think it has a lot to do with where the pull is coming from along the shaft. Meaning that an ADS that pulls from in front of the glans will get a good tunica pull. But when the attachment is further up on the shaft then the ligs inside get pulled.

I agree the further from the glans that you attach your device the less of the tunica that gets stretched, but by my understanding the amount the ligs get pulled shouldn`t vary at all if you are pulling from the glans or from the base of the shaft.

It doesn`t matter where you pull from on the length of a rope(the shaft), the end that is tied off to something (the ligs) will feel the tension.

Am I missing something?

I`m online through my primative cell phone so I will have to check the images when I get home.

When I feel a “good” stretch I feel it deep in past the pelvic bone, not on the surface, or at the external base of my shaft. It feels inward from where the extender base would sit.

But even if the ligs are too wide and are not getting pulled through the base, they should be pulled toward the base, no? like pulling a rope around a corner? (what is it with me and rope today??)

I will look into this more when I get to a real computer. Thanks for the discussion so far.

Wetmayo, how long is your session with the extender in the up position? Ive been wearing mine in the down position, alternating from left leg to right leg for a year now with good results. If you’re getting decent gains in the up position I might change my routine.

BIG CAVEAT HERE:

EXTENDERS ARE NOT FOR NEWBIES.

If you are a newbie, you should stick to a hands only (manual) routine for at LEAST 3 or 4 months.

Why? Because you will learn about your penis and how it responds to PE.

This knowledge is necessary before using devices - you are less likely to injure yourself with a PE device if you know what you are doing.

Additionally many guys reach their goals without using ANY device - just their hands.

Researching different methods of PE is an excellent thing for newbies (and vets) to do. This thread is about researching.

The entire session now. There could be some changes now though because I just got a comfort strap today, and so far I am hating it. But yeah for the noose I’m trying out the up position. I haven’t seen the results of it yet since I only started this week.
