First Time -- Have Questions

First Time -- Have Questions

Hey Guys,

I am brand new to PE and I have a few questions and concerns before I really get into it. Before I start, I want to say I understand that PE takes a commitment in order to see gains.

The routine I am following is: The Linear Newbie Routine
NEW newbie + advanced routine

The other newbie routine is:
Newbie Penis Enlargement Routine

Questions:
1) Which newbie routine is better to follow? The reason I ask is because I tried the linear routine for the first time the other day (5 min warmup, 20-30 jelq, 5 min warm down) and apart from the warmup/down I was able to finish it in about 30 seconds. Is this correct? I understand the less is more argument, but I hardly feel like I have made a difference after this many jelq’s.

2) This leads into my second question. How hard should I be gripping? In my first attempt I ended up doing 60 jelq’s instead of 20 because I thought I wasn’t gripping hard enough. Is there any way to tell if you are doing it right?

3) I see people posting about techniques such as using extenders, hanging, etc. Are these necessary to make gains, or am I okay with sticking to the basics of stretching / jelqing?

Thanks

1) You should be doing Jelqs every 2-4 seconds - 1 per second is way too fast. I personally am using the Newbie Penis Enlargement Routine and I’m seeing some positive effects, including Erection Quality. You can do the linear routine, since it’s meant to ease you into PEing slowly.

2) You have to find a happy medium, but you can’t be death gripping it since you could do nerve damage or “harden” your penis, making it harder for gains.

3) You should first stick with the newbie routine - once you get to a point where you are not seeing any gains, a more advanced technique can be used to help with your gains. You should also focus on getting your penis ready for any advanced techniques by - yes, you guessed it - doing the newbie routine.

Good luck!

Starting (6/2012): NBPEL: 4.5" EG: 5.0" 07/6/2013: NBPEL: 4.75"/BPEL: 5.25" EG: 5.25"

The second thread you linked is definitely the place to start. Are you doing your stretches along with the rest? I don’t see that mentioned in your post. Also I see that you are doing the jelqs pretty fast. If you are able to do 30 jelqs in the span of 30 seconds then that means that each jelq is only lasting a second which is rushing them too much. Try to spend around 3-4 seconds on each jelq if possible. Stick with this routine for the first couple weeks to see how you respond and if things are looking good as far as EQ is concerned, then you can look into steadily increasing reps, stretches, etc.

For your second question, that is one that is harder to answer. You don’t want to grip so hard that you cause any pain (pain should never be associated with PE) but at the same time, you want to grip hard enough to cause sufficient blood flow through each jelq. From personal experience, the higher your erection is, the less tight your grip needs to be. Another way to put it is, if you are seeing an increase in temporary thickness along the shaft/glans then you are on the right track.

For your third question, no they are not “necessary” to make any solid gains. I have experimented with many devices over the years, and can safely say that my hands are responsible for 95% of my gains. When it comes to using manual exercises, I always feel more in control of the stresses involved than with equipment. Now that doesn’t mean that I am dismissing them. There are plenty of people that have done excellent progress with them, but don’t think of it as a requirement to gain down the road. Anyways you are just starting so that shouldn’t even be a concern at this point.

Thanks for the quick replies.

I mistyped and wrote 20-30, instead of 10-20. This means that I have actually been doing about 1 jelq every 2 seconds. From this point, I will try to slow it down to about 1 jelq every 3 seconds.

As for the stretches, I have only PE’d once and the linear routine stated not to stretch in the first week or two so I have not yet done any. However, from this point on I will follow the regular (second) newbie routine with the stretching.

I am still a little bit uncertain on the grip, but from my understanding it looks like something each individual has to figure out on their own. I will follow your tips, try it out, and let you guys know how it goes.

Hey guys, I’m really worried about causing an injury. Is there any risk of an injury from stretches or kegel exercises? Also, in the newbie routine it says 200 3-second jelq’s. This is quite a lot more than with the linear routine. Is 200 a very large number in terms of how many jelq’s most people do? Is it better to start with a number like 50 or 100?

Um going from 20 to 200 this fast seems like a really easy way to overtrain and cause more harm than good. Star with the same 20-30 for the first week or sound depending on how you feel you can increase it to around 50. You always want to have gradual increases not drastic ones.
