First Gain

I think most of us newbies worry a lot about how long it will take to see our first gain so I’ll share this. For me, a consistent measurement method is critical. It took me about 10 days to come up with a system that I was sure was repeatable. I have a layout square in my shop that is an aluminum triangle with a bar across the bottom. I found that the bar across the bottom makes this very comfortable for doing BP measurements. I also found after using it for a few days that my measurements settled down and there was a mark that no matter how hard I pressed or how hard I stretched (BPFSL), I couldn’t get to that mark. That’s when I knew I had my measurement system worked out and that unattainable mark (1/8”) became my goal.

I just finished day 32 of my exercises. A few days ago (3 or 4) I started to imagine that I was hitting my 1/8” mark. For the first time, this morning, I’m not imagining it. I’ve definitely reached the mark. So, at least for one guy, 32 days to get my first 1/8 in. Yeah!

Congratulations dude, I’m having a real tough time not measuring until the end of the month.

Hah, I’ve been using a combination square! I’ve also been using joint tape to measure girth.

Shit I still measure every other time. Just dont have the patience to wait until the end of the month!

Thanks all! I started off measuring every day. I think that’s newbie’s zeal. Now, I’m trying to do it only once a week. I can’t imagine detecting a real change in less time than that.

More Changes

Amazingly, I have more gains to report. Before I get to that, though, I like to say how much I appreciate everyone here at Thunder’s Place. It’s been a long time since I’ve encountered a social gathering where everyone is so positive and supportive even when we disagree. I saw a post a day or so ago where a guy really went off. I think he was mostly frustrated, but his post was a sure invitation to a flame war. I was amazed! The responses were perhaps a bit more edgy than usual, but understanding and still supportive. What an incredible place this is. It’s a shame the whole world doesn’t work this way. Anyway, thanks!

A quick summary:

Starting stats:
FL: 1 1/2 to 2 in
BP FL: 5 in
BPEL: 4.75 in
EG: 5 in

After about 10 days of exercising and working to get my measurements consistent:

FL: same
BPFL: 5 1/4 in.
BPEL: 5 in.
EG: not measured

It might look like I gained 1/4 in., but I’m discounting this change as measurement error and my equipment settling into a new routine. Okay, so I think this is my real baseline.

On day 38, I finally was consistently measuring a 1/8 in gain.

This morning, I was surprised with another 1/8 in gain. (Day 46)

Day 46:
BPFL: 5 3/4 in

I’m using BPFL as my primary measurement because it’s the only one that I’m sure I can take accurately.

BPEL: 5 1/4 to 5 1/2 in.

I really don’t trust my BPEL measurement, but it’s in there somewhere. My BPEL seems to run about 1/4 in behind BPFL.

I’m averaging about one day off my exercise routine every 10 days.

So, I’m celebrating again much sooner than I had anticipated.

For those working on foreskin restoration, when I started PE (46 days ago), my foreskin would not cover my glans even when I was cold with flaccid in the 1 in. Area. Now, if I’m flaccid, I’m covered. It takes only modest erection to uncover, but for me, that’s real and surprising progress.

If I should be keeping these updates somewhere else someone please let me know. Again, thanks to everyone for making this a terrific place to hang out. (Pun intended :-)

Update

I describe myself as an optimistic skeptic. I also believe that if you can’t measure it you can’t management it. When I start a project, I put a lot of effort into making sure that I have measurements that significant to my goal, accurate, and repeatable. My skepticism and measurement orientation are colliding with one another this morning.

Current: (Day 48)

BPEL: 5 1/2 in. (+)
EG: 6 in.

I’ve done the BPEL repeatedly; I’ve tried to be conservative and not overstate. Though I’m having trouble believing it, I seem to have achieved 1/2 in gain in length.

The EG measurement is even more unbelievable to me. This is a 1 in increase. I’ve only measured this once so we’ll see if this holds up over the next few days. 6 in. EG is also my goal, so I’m going to look at my routine to make sure I’m focusing mostly on length.

What were you doing to get girth? A gain of an inch in 50 days!! Wow I’m jealous!
