Finished newbie routine, now what

I’ve just completed three months of the newbie routine. Is there some collective agreement among the vets of the best course of action for the next three months? What’s best to add to the routine: hanging / clamping/ pumping/ other? And how much to add? The newbie info I found on TP was great, but now I’m not sure of the best options to take. Your ideas will be appreciated.

Half inch of growth in 3 month is great gains! I would stick with the same routine and see if it could give another half. Maybe experiment with increasing time and intensity :)

I don’t think there’s any generally accepted “next step” after the newbie routine except that, if you’re still gaining there’s no reason to change anything. Once you see gains stalling I would personally add some manual trapping and a fulcrum stretch to add new stimuli.

Seriously, 1/2 an inch of growth in 3 month is amazing! Don’t mess with success and don’t try and fix what ain’t broken.

I agree, I am still on the newbie routine after 2 years and still gaining, have meddled with other stuff, but this is where the money is.

Hanging after your gains have stopped for about 2 months seems like a good idea if you get bored, but like the others said - increase duration and get an ADS for after PE sessions.


Time to measure girth soon... previously 4.5", been targeting girth for months!

You are doing great.

Don’t change anything. Keep doing what you are doing now until you stop gaining. When you stall (three or so months with no gains at all) then look at doing something else.

Search “less is more.” The idea is to do as little PE as possible as long as you are gaining. If you go advance too soon it will only make it more difficult to get gains later. And it risks injury.

Agreed stick to the current regime since it is working so well. Congrats on the gains you must be pleased. Advanced routines are more risky and your gains are excellent half an inch in 3 months. Consistency is the key!
