Figuring out erection percentage

Figuring out erection percentage

Over the last 2+ weeks of PEing, I have never really been able to identify my erection percentage when below 80%. It’s a combination of confusing engorgement for erection and just not really knowing where I stand, and it seems that the lower erection I have, the harder it is to identify the %. This is especially bad for me because I have a hard time keeping an erection when jelqing- usually after 10 jelqs, I *think* I am at about 40%. The best way I describe it is that the penis is hanging down on the balls and looks thick and full, but there is no resistance when I push on it. I can take it and move it in a circle with no resistance that would be there if it was a higher erection. What percent erection do you guys think this is?

I am going to draw a few pictures and maybe you guys can help me identify the % erection for each one.

I know many people have erections in different angles, but I made this similar to mine, so lets assume that 1 is 100%. Would these be about right:

1 = 100%
2= 80%
3= 60%
4=50% 4 is the last picture in which there is resistance when pushing down on the penis.
5=40% There is still a lot of engorgement, but there is only a tiny bit of resistance, if any, when pushing on the penis

On a side note, I have read a few threads where people ask about keeping an erection while jelqing, and none of the methods really seem to work for me. Will my penis somehow get used to jelqing and stay erect for longer? In how many weeks can I expect my penis to remain at a 60% erection level when jelqing, or at least for more than 10 jelqs?

To me, 70% is fully engorged, thickness wise, but mostly floppy and loose - perhaps just the mildest amount of thickness. Anything beyond that, and you start to feel a little bit of rigidity and stiffness. Anything below and it really only qualifies as a swollen flaccid.

I suggest you completely give up on trying to quantify several different levels with numerical percentages. Think more in terms of these levels:

- Erect
- Weak erection
- 70%
- Swollen flaccid

You sure are an artist aren’t you. :)

Ha ha I was about to say something about that, you should put a little signature in the bottom right, you could be famous one day.

395Man, your description of 70%- fully engorged but mostly floppy and loose- is what I thought would be a 50% erection, or a swollen flaccid. Are you sure that’s right?

It’s whatever I want it to be since it’s only me who follows my own rules and parameters. I jelq at what I call 70%. If that’s what you call 50%, then according to you, I jelq at 50%.

395Man- I think the amount of erection should be more objective, not just a personal opinion. The amount of erection is a huge part of gaining more in length, more in girth, and even having the possibility of hurting yourself. 50% should be the same for everybody- If I want to gain more on length and I use a 50% erection that is in actuality a 70% erection, that would completely change my desired results! Likewise, If I am jelqing at a level that I think is 60% but is in actuality 40%, I could potentially damage my penis!

If you strive to take literally what you believe to be 60% based on forum discussions, rather than following your own personal intuitions based on your own experiences, then perhaps you could damage it. All the more reason why you shouldn’t get hung up on another attaching a numerical value to what is a highly personal physiological process.

Bottom line: I think you’re better off following your own intuition rather than trying to parse what others consider to be 60%, 40%, etc.

I gotta say that I wish there was a more objective way to measure as well. I’m just starting and this is one of the questions I had in regards to jelqing.

I just can’t agree with you here. If we were talking about a difference of 5 or 10%, then I guess you would be better off following your intuition since these are quite small numbers that may not be worth monitoring so closely. However, a difference of 20% in erection level is HUGE! It’s more than a matter of intuition or opinion, since PE could be considered a science. I’m sure that if we took 100 people and had 50 of them jelq with a 40% erection level and the other 50 jelq with a 60% erection level, the latter would be much better off.

A difference of 20% can mean
-people not gaining anything and stopping PE because they are frustrated
-people hurting themselves because of an erection that is too high or too low
-people that are gaining in girth when they want to mainly gain length and vice versa

While I see what you are saying, I am pretty sure that you are at least somewhat wrong. These numbers, while impossible to be completely objective, need to certainly be objectified. The website says numerous times that 70-80% erection level is better for girth and 50-60% is better for length. This definitely needs to be followed! Anything more or less is dangerous, and staying at these levels will surely allow you to better achieve your desired results of more girth or more length.

I think having a quantifiable standard for measuring erection strength is a great idea but is probably impractical. It’s analogous to measuring vaginal tightness, which has been discussed on this forum before. I think there is device that can measure pressure exerted on it from the outside inward which I think was used in at least one study to measure vaginal tightness. One could think of a pressure device to measure pressure/resistance exerted outward, such as the hardness of an erection against the wall of a vagina.

Other then that I can’t think of an effective way to measure erection hardness in a quantifiable way.

Can any moderators put their input into this topic? I’m obviously not looking for any device that could measure the exact erection level or anthing, just something closer because I feel like sometimes I am off by 30% of an erection because I simply do not know what a certain % erection level really means…

For example, the one erection level that I described- fully engorged but almost no or a tiny bit of resistance when pushing down on the penis, similar to picture 4- what % erection would that be?
