For me, personally, jelqing upwards towards my navel isn’t as “effective” as jelqing out or downwards. Maybe it’s purely a bloodflow thing, but unless I am jelqing with a decent erection (not 100%, mind you), upwards is harder for me to push blood through.

One poster on here warned against jelqing downwards, although others recommend it. C’est la PE. Try jelqing SO, away from your body, rather than up—I always get better engorgment/bloodflow, even when I’m flaccid or low erect (<30%). Caveat: I have a history of EQ problems, so that may have something to do with why upward is ineffective for me.

I find that you need to jelq with a lower erection or it won’t work for 3sec+ jelqs. You get a good pump and it should be soft enough to be able to squeeze and push the blood through the dorsal vein. I have really hard EQ on the top of my shaft, top being when pointed SO. So I cant jelq efficiently SO or SD as I feel a kind of bend at the base and it gets super hard and tough. But SO can still work but what I heard is you should jelq in the direction of your erection where it points. So if yours point up. Do SU etc.
