Hello,

I just started the newbie routine a few days ago. I was wondering if achieving an erection immediately afterwards is helpful, hindering, or of no consequence to good gains. Does anyone have any opinions on the issue?

You don’t need any other information than that!

If you have done too much, it will be difficult to get a good hard erection….and that isn’t good.

For many guys, edging or maintaining a hard erection after a workout is fine, for some guys its additional stress that may push you into overtraining.

Its important to pay attention to the PIs you get from your PE. In general, if you are PE correctly…you will have improved EQ (erectile quality). This means you will have harder, easier and more frequent erections.

If you are getting decreased EQ, it is a sure sign of too much PE…or not enough recovery time. If decreased EQ lasts more than a day or two at most…you need to cut back on your routine.

Ideally, you should always maintain a high EQ from your PE, but not all guys can do that and still gain. But again, if you have decreased EQ for more than a day or two…its time to cut back.

What makes you think getting an erection may hinder gains? You mean erection or ejaculation?


Start: 6.9 BPEL x 4.9 (17,5 x 12,5 cm)

Now: 7.7 BPEL x 5.7 (19,5 x 14,5 cm)

As Avocet said, getting erection after a workout is a great, and you can even do edging.


Starting Aug/06: BPEL 5.5", EG 4.3"

05/Feb/2007: BPEL 6.3", NBPEL 5.7", EG 4.9"

I just wasn’t sure if the internal pressures immediately after a workout might have unwanted consequences. Since it’s been brought up, what’s the consensus on ejaculation?

I stay away from ejaculation on PE days. Off PE days I go ahead and do it. I tried ejaculating before I did some stretching, and that seemed to make things a little looser and easier to pull. Sex anytime is a go for me.

Same here, I do ejaculate only on my days off.

When my jelqing sessions lasted an hour I found that it was to difficult to edge. So I just shot one off everytime edged the next day.
