I think there could definitely be something in that, I do go through stages of very low mood but I don’t know if it qualifies as full-blown depression. My GP did initially refer me to a self-help service for low mood/low self-esteem, but it wasn’t much help and obviously did nothing for my ED as that isn’t what it was intended for. I did get morning wood on the last day of the trip (tucked up in a real bed after 8 days in a tent!), and was having a lot more sexual thoughts without even trying. I was amazed and very disappointed at how quickly things reverted back after coming home.

I had a fasting blood test done, wouldn’t that have shown up an abnormal insulin level if I was diabetic? It came back normal according to the doc.

I don’t think this could possibly by your problem, especially for a 25 year old.

I just now noticed that you talked about your heavy workout schedule. When was the last time you took a break from that? You might just be too physically pooped out to get it up.

I know this will be hard to do, but I think you should take a 1 week break from exercise and see if that doesn’t make a difference in your erection capability. I guarantee, you won’t loose any strength during the exercise break. You might feel guilty about it, but you won’t loose strength. In fact, the break might help both your exercise program and your erection problem.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Your insulin level would be a good marker for how your pancreas is working and relates to blood sugar. So yes you can probably rule out diabetes.

I think you could use a change in your thinking. I think you would really be helped by some group therapy where you share your inner self with others and learn “mindfulness”. (That’s the balance between an emotional/rational mind)

I had to deal with a lot of this 4-5 years ago. I had emotional loss of myself. No feelings of happiness and no feelings of sadness. After 6 months of treatments of mental/chemical/clinical for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and resurgent PTSD from my youth/childhood I was slowly coming back. I’d given up on and was learning to live emotionless when one day while watching “The Passion” I finally broke down and cried my heart out. I’ve been pretty good since that day. I don’t drink at all anymore and never was a heavy drinker. I find it to be a depressant. (Something I don’t need)

Anyway. While I was “broke down” or “on my journey” I had very little interest in sex of any kind. This includes masturbation that I’ve done since I was in first grade. (I was abused by an older lad and took masturbation away as the good part of something that was terrible) One of the PTSDs I’d learned to live with. Self therapy of a child.

I sincerely hope this all makes sense to you and hopefully it will help. Do an mental inventory of things that stick out in your life as emotional times and write down those that were the worst of times. Many of us carry some PTSD throughout our lives and never know it. I have not masturbated since February 1. In that time my morning erections are so intense they wake me up at about 4:30 am and I stay hard for at least an hour and a half. I was going to write you a long reply, since I am 25 and have fought a battle with ED problems, but I decided to just give the short and simple reply.

I had a very limp cock until I started doing jelqs, so make sure you are performing those regularly. Also give up looking at porn and all sexy pictures, and give up masturbating for pleasure completely.
If you keep your eyes and thoughts off of sexy pictures for a long period, when you finally get with a girl and see any of her body, you will have an uncontrollable erection and desire. This is my secret weapon and it allows me to enjoy sexual things almost as much as I did when I was 13.

I set the rule that I would only masturbate if it was for the purpose of PE and stop the moment it was no longer necessary to perform my PE routines, which works well, but I always find it a struggle to control myself once I start masturbating for any reason.
I have just switched my PE routine to pumping and jelqs only for the purpose of having maximum EQ and horniness. I was clamping before which required me to stimulate myself too much so I dropped it since I could do a pumping routine and never have to masturbate. This helps as well, I have used Glad Press n’ Seal Wrap for this before and it worked, but I mostly use a silicone sleeve that I cut to cover just my glans.
I make sure to not let the synthetic foreskin hang over the end of my glans though so I am still like someone who is circumcised, I do not want to break the commandment to be circumcised from the scriptures so I do this to be safe.

The actual sex act is better like you say. The body produces different hormones and brain chemestry changes and the such during the actual act of sex with another person.
