Edging 101

Ok without stimulation(no kegeling also) it goes down within a minute. not fully.. but from 90-100% erection (-1minute) to 50-60% erection, in 3 minutes I’m back to flaccid, unless really excited I guess

Now if you practiced edging that period would be longer than one minute, possibly an hour. When I do get an occasional morning wood it may not go away unless I wank. Edging increases stamina.

Yep, I just did that, followed your instructions exactly. I was able to get the the point right before the PONR three times before I decided it was too risky to continue. I feel it is a wonderful practice.

I’ve done some edging a few days now, and when I’m sitting I got no problem edging for 30min or more, without many PONR. But if I stand up then I get to PONR faster.

And what exactly to pull or squeeze when feeling I’m going to ejaculate to instead go into the dry orgasm?

I justed removed my hand from my unit after the first voluntary contraction, and then did a reverse kegel, try that John.

What brought me back here today(after my first session last night) was when I woke up this morning I had to pee quite badly. When I went pee, the stream was weak, and it felt like my body didn’t want to urinate. It was like this all throughout the day, I had to do a reverse kegel to let the urine come out and I had a stop and go stream.

I dont know….but not normal. Lots of spontanious erections today, more than normal and that was wonderful.

How old are you BMashina? One of the problems men have to face as they get older is to do with their prostate. It’s shaped a bit like a donut and surrounds the tube going from your bladder to your dick. If it swells (and it can do that for many reasons), it makes peeing harder or, even, impossible — like a kinked hose. Younger guys can cope with edging much easier than older ones — they’re more likely to have wet dreams and get rid of whatever is there and their prostate seems less affected by being full. Even having full bowels can put pressure on a moderately enlarged prostate and make peeing harder because the prostate is right next to your rectum. That is why doctors can examine one side of your prostate by sticking a finger up your bum.

I don’t know, but suspect it’s because of the issues above that there is a link between prostate cancer and ejaculation — surf the web on this. Whatever, I reckon you should ejaculate at least 4 times a week if you have peeing problems. Edge on other days if you like, but make sure you empty yourself fairly regularly. I don’t know, but suspect that the spontaneous erections could be natures way of telling you to do this.

Think of it logically, buddy. Your system “needs” to cum at a certain rate depending on many things, such as age, hormone levels, general health, when you last ejaculated and your recent ejaculation frequency. If there is a bit of build up of cum in your system, your dick brings that to your attention by being in a semi or even fully erect state , sometimes when you wish it wouldn’t happen. The best way to solve that is to cum. It’ll turtle if you’ve had too much

I do have a relevant comment, but first I would like to say that I am ecstatic about finding and joining this group. So much so, that I have literally spent the last three days scouring the threads, and I’m beginning to suffer from Info overload. I have had some form of ED for the past three or four years. I can blame it on a number of factors, ( I’m 45, overweight, an alcoholic, recently divorced, depressed, unemployed, etc.). Other than the occasional quick, semi erect tug in the shower, I haven’t had sex (with a partner) in over three years. My point is, that I am finally ready to turn my life around and pursue mental, physical and sexual health, and I am truly grateful for this forum, and for all of you.

Now for relevance. Many years ago, before I knew what “edging” was, I read an article about prolonging the orgasm and delaying ejaculation. The article stated that by squeezing the base of the penis at or during the PONR, You could alleviate the sensation and stop ejaculation. I had always been a Premie, so I tried it a few times. It worked, for the most part, but I could never control myself long enough to see any progress. I would always push too far; I never found the right timing.

Also, in the article, it stated that you could prolong the orgasm by performing a kegel at the PONR and holding it for as long as you could before losing control. And by slowly inhaling and expanding the chest during the process, you could internalize and intensify the experience. This I practiced, allot. Through trial and error, I found that, if I didn’t hold it long enough, or held it for too long, the sensation was not as intense. When I did it just right, my orgasms and ejaculations were mind blowing. I never timed it, but I would say for me, the magic number was about fifteen seconds. I’ve done this for so long that it is automatic, I don’t even think about it. So, to kegel or not to kegel. Some say yes, some say no. For me, kegeling is an integral part of the orgasm. If I did it at or near the PONR, then I would be “over the edge”.

Thanks to Kingpole, and the rest of you, I am excited about adding edging to my newbie routine. Now, If I can just get over the guilt about playing with my Peter all day, I’ll be well on my way..
