Edging 101

Hey guys, I’m here to hopefully get some help with my PE problem. I’ve tried edging quite a few times since I’ve joined this site although not very consistently. I just tried an edging session and I’m convinced that I MUST be doing something wrong. I edged to the PONR , to the point where I must kegel extremely hard to keep it in. I think this is wrong, is it? Also I did edge to the PONR and I had to kegel really hard. I got the dry orgasm with only a bit of precum seeping out ( I think it was precum), but I went flaccid after that.

I’ve only had sex once and I lasted about 30 seconds if I was lucky. I really want to get this fixed, since I’ve been hanging out with more females and there are a few asking me to hang out with them 1 on 1, but I’m afraid I won’t last at all.

My goal for right now is to make it to 10min. How long do you think this could possibly take? Am I edging correctly?

Hey PE’rs. I have a couple questions about edging and etc.

If deemed important to whom ever may be curious. I am 18 years old. I am uncut and my frenulum is extremely sensitive. A couple of minutes of intercourse and I’m already overly stimulated. I began edging the other day and I discovered that I can completely stop my load with a strong kegel. My questions are:

1. Am I going too far into the PONR? Should I not have to stop my load like that? Because I read in a previous thread that I should relax that muscle with a reverse kegel. But I am certain that I’d nut everywhere.

2. Should I balloon rather than edge? I figure it would make a lot of sense to rub the sensitive areas to that point where I’m going to nut so the spots would calm the hell down and disassociate themselves with busting a nut.

3. Will edging help my load shoot rather than ooze out of my penis. The oozing is whack. I’m trying to shoot far.

4. Also, should I use my mind instead of porn for edging?

1. When you are edging or having sex, your whole body should be relaxed. No kegels, no tensing your back, nothing. It is only when you reach your PONR that you should kegel to stop ejaculation, and once you calm down, go back to relaxing your whole body, including not kegeling.

2. I don’t completely know the difference, but I would stick with edging as that is geared more towards lasting longer. However, make sure you are getting those sensitive spots during edging. You can even do this for a minute or two when you wake up, go to sleep, watch tv, go to the bathroom, etc.

3. Yes, edging will definitely help with is. The longer you last, the more cum, and more force it will have.

4. Definitely. It’s not a huge deal and doesn’t effect everybody, but too much porn has some bad consequences. You don’t need to completely cut it out, but go for at least half the time without porn.

Anyway i’ve started to edging again..and this time i hope i will sucess!

I’ve been on for one week now, and i have done edging 1-2 times per day.

one time i egde for about an hour and the second from 20min to 40, if i do it twice a day.
When i get and feel ticking feeling and i see im totaly loosing controll, i try to stroke couple of times and then stop. Sometimes i miss timing and little semen ejaculates but i completly stop and rest/play with myself until whole sensations are gone and i let the erection subside to flaccid and then start over. Is it Okey to let erecetion subside to the flaccid?
Some time it takes a lot of time to come to PONR but sometimes after i’ve been once at PORN , the nest PONR come quicker and quicker. I dont use any porn and i try not to visualize, sometime many thought come to my brain but i allways trying to come back and just not think of anything and focus how it feels.
And on the edging session im not 100%erected, its upp and down from 50-90-and someitmes 100. . is that okey?

I dont kegel to stop ejactulation, im thinking of introducing it later and want to focus only on mind now. But i do keegels, about 15min, couple of times in a week.

My problem with edging is that I can easily wank for 5 minutes without hitting the PONR, but when I hit it I can only do around 5-10 strokes before I’m at the PONR again, since I don’t feel like it’s enough doing 5 min edging I always try to hit around 10 minutes, but as the amount of strokes to PONR decreases I always accidentally go too far and then (as far as I’ve read) the exercise is no use.

What should I do?

Hey John, have you tried using lube with your hand, switching hands, holding your penis at different locations, etc.? Maybe you should give a Fleshlight some thought since the sensations are so much closer to the real thing. Have you tried using kegels during sex? Normal and reverse. You may be inadvertently squeezing your PC/BC muscles one way or the other, which could be causing them to spasm too soon. You may have to try several things before pinpointing what’s causing the problem, and any anxiety you’re having could also be the culprit. Try to think positively when you’re having sex, and if possible try edging right before sex, hitting just before the PONR two or three times. Maybe that can help increase your threshold to the sensations during intercourse.

Thanks, don’t have the money or privacy to get a fleshlight, still with parents(18 years old). I have had sex 3 times where I finished, first time was around 30 sec because I just wanted to get it over with, second time was 2 min and third time was around 3-4 min. Should I just get accustomed with sex before trying to fight my premature ejaculation?

Also I though about if I should just start with doing 5 min sessions and gradually ramping up?

Will think about what you said in my next session :)

Yeah, you’re still young, and you can’t base your sexual capabilities on the first few times you have sex. The anxiety that you’re experiencing won’t help either. To be honest, I think there’s way too much information in these forums that you shouldn’t even be reading. Stuff that gets the gears in your head turning excessively for your age. Since you’ve scored by finding Pandora’s Box of information regarding the penis, I hope you don’t let any of this stuff go to your head negatively!

OK, as for edging, and I’m speaking from my own experiences here, so yours may require personal tweaking. Start off edging for as long as you can before reaching the PONR. Do not cum!! Slow down, stop, pour ice over your dick if you need to. Once you’ve gathered yourself, continue edging. I’ve actually stuck to a routine for the past three or four weeks of edging in the morning when I wake up. My morning wood has been terrific since I started this routine, so hopefully, you’ll have similar results. Once I get close to the PONR, I hit the shower and do the same in there. I’m not really keeping up with the time during these sessions, but for me, I’ve reached a point where I can edge for a good 10-15 minutes and hold back the sensations of even getting close to the PONR. Just increase your time to what you desire as you go… 10 mins, 15 mins, 2 hours…

During the day, I’ll go to the bathroom since I have plenty of privacy, and I’ll edge for another 10-15 minutes once or twice a day, sometimes three. Later in the evening, I’ll edge again, and I’m keeping my ejaculations to once or twice a week. I have to save some jizz for my girlfriend, so I probably have a total of 5-6 ejaculations per week. Even though I only edge for 10-15 minutes, I have gained control to last as long as I want to. I don’t think the time you edge is as important as learning your body and grasping control.

In my opinion, it’s very important to break yourself from ejaculating so much. Try to remove the idea of climaxing from the idea of enjoying the sensations if you can. It has helped my control tenfold just within the past month!

Good luck with your progress, and definitely read more into the different techniques of edging. A good mixture of techniques also helps your stamina, and it’s more info than I can go into within one post.

Talking about a Pandora’s box, this is nothing compared to the dating scene that I started reading about when I was around 13, luckily I function well socially, but being “brought up” with theory for girls that are 10-20 years older than what you are is really messy. Think it might be the explanation why I have a hard time finding the right girl.

I personally think edging improves EQ, not endurance. If you have problems lasting long then a short term fix is to masturbate prior to having sex.

Long term fix is to get laid more often.

Ha, you could also try one of those fleshlight training units.
