I don’t know what it is with me, but edging doesn’t help me nearly as much as it does with others. I can easily edge for 25 minutes without blowing, but I can only last about 3 minutes with constant normal thrusting. Ordered a fleshlight yesterday, hopefully the increased sensation and more realistic movement (plan on sticking it somewhere and actually thrusting in it) will help.

I had this happen the other morning after edging for maybe 30mins. I have to say the visual aspect of it was surprisingly stimulating and provided added difficulty in keeping from going over the edge. Just something you have to deal with really but no reason not to continue.

I agree with mr_rw - no reason to give up. Just stop stimulating your self for a little bit and then resume where you left off.

I have a theory and that is r\stroke yourself to a big boner then let it go nearly flaccid. Then stroke yourself to a big boner again. I think what happens is that you re introduce fresher oxygenated blood into the penis. Who kn ows this may help with permanent growth.

Wow, amazing thread. Thanks so much Kingpole and others. I’m new to PE and now edging, but I plan on giving it my best shot (no pun intended).

My main confusion at this point is what order it is best to do everything in, and how frequently to ejaculate and such. That is, should I do a PE workout (in my case the newbie routine), and then do an edging session? At this point I have usually been masturbating before I PE so that I can jelq with a reasonable erection level, not too high like would happen if I hadn’t ejaculated recently. People here seem to be saying it is best to do an edging session after PE, but how do you deal with the erection level issue? Even after masturbating before PE, I still struggle to keep my erection level down during jelqs - any advice on this? Would it be bad to do an edging session ending with ejaculation, then a PE workout, then another edging session without ejaculation?

I’d be interested to hear from the guys who limit their ejaculations to only a 3-4 times a week. How does this affect your ability to jelq and such with a good erection percentage? Thanks a lot for any guidance.

I don’t know what is the better/best thing to do but, My ejaculation is limited to once and sometimes twice a month and i can stay semi hard if i wanted to jelq, it just takes time for your body to get used to not linking touching your dick to 100% boner.

Once or twice a month? Are you having sex at all right now? Also, is it OK to rest every several jelqs to let erection level subside? Does that take away the benefits? Sorry I know that’s probably answered elsewhere.

I think you may be over thinking this a bit.

For your jelqing I think over time you will find the best way for you to manage your erection level.

For edging guys generally do it when they have time after a PE session to try and maximize the expansion from the session.

Does this mean you have to to do it one way or the other? Not really, its up to you to do whatever works out best for you. I guess i’m trying to say that it seems you are looking for hard and fast rules when those are not really available or needed.

Guys, I’ve read this whole thread and spent a lot of sessions experimenting with edging. But I am still confused about something. In the ideal state (after becoming an expert), should I be NOT kegeling just before PONR, or just I be kegeling and stoping the ejaculation? Or does it just not really matter as long as I don’t ejaculate?

Reason I ask is that neither seem to have the desired result. If I stop via kegeling, I am not getting any significant difference in volume when I do finally ejaculate (or even I get less if some semen leaks as others have said when edging), and the “orgasm” when edging is just a small burning sensation. It isn’t anything to get excited about. If I stop before PONR and manage not to blow my load without kegeling (or if I use reverse kegeling), I think it just isn’t a big event. There is no orgasm, I back off, and start over.

There have been a lot of posts on this, but not enough in my opinion (or the info we do have contradicts each other, and so do the articles) on the PONR and second or two before and after. Just saying “keep practicing” isn’t helping me much. I do believe you guys are having significant experiences with this, I am just having trouble replicating it. Can anyone clarify.
