Doing kegels only while urinating ok

Doing kegels only while urinating. Is it ok

I can whip a good 10-15 kegels per time I go urinating , and since I constantly drinking water I can go to the bathroom a good 3-5 times a day. So Is it alright to do it only whole
Urinating?

Like everyone else I have troubles knowing if I’m doing it right , plus I can’t hold it longer then 1 second .

I would think that squeezing a muscle that surrounds the inner urethra during urination might interfere with the flow. You can kegel at any time. Doing it during an important bodily function seems counterproductive.

Holding the contraction isn’t really necessary (IMO) to make the muscle stronger. The simple exercise of making it contract is enough to provide penis health benefits.

Ok so I shouldn’t do it while urinating .. Hmm so what’s the best easiest thing .

I don’t know why it has 5 second kegels holds , I can Berly hold it for a second.

Just contract the muscle when you think abou it. It’s the muscle that makes your penis “jump.” It does not have to be held for five seconds.

Typically the urinating thing is mentioned to help someone find the muscle, but since you know where it is, you can just do it without urination.

Hmm… I’m wondering if just contracting but not holding the contraction is the most effective way to train the muscle. I’m a firm believer in doing any muscle exersize slowly, so the time-under-tension of that muscle is longer.

With normal muscles, doing your rep’s slowly with lower weights builds functional strength, while doing fast rep’s is more effective for actually growing the muscle. People often think that a bigger muscle is a stronger muscle, but this is simply not the case! Just look at Bruce Lee! Did Bruce Lee had enormous muscles? Hell no! But he was a mighty strong fellow!

In short, I think it is better to contract and hold than just contracting. Have you tried contracting the muscle less hard? I can easily hold it for 5 seconds, I never had any problems with doing so. But it could be that you simply have to ease into this. So if you can’t hold them for 5 seconds, just start with the 1 second contraction, and instead of building up the amount of rep’s, try building up the time under tension (the hold itself) first, and then increase the amount of rep’s.

I´m not sure if I can hold it.. ? When I do a kegel the penis tugs back towards my body, and then it goes out again. Should I be able to keep it tugged back for 5 seconds ? I can´t do that at all.

Have you tried doing kegels while lying down on your (right) side? Doing kegels that way is much more comfortable for me. Are you able to hold your pee midstream for more than one second? Seems odd to me if you could.

Yeah, I can hold my pee for…probably as long as I want to.

That’s odd, so you are not experiencing any difficulties when you stop the flow of urine while you are peeing?

Nope. But it doesn´t feel like I am using a muscle all the time, only the moment I stop it.

Hmm… You are sure that you are working the right muscle, right? You can actually feel it when you contract if you put a finger on the skin between the scrotum and the Anus. You should that you muscle is contracting then. I am not an expert so maybe it would be better for now if you stick to the faster contractions. Maybe it will come in time, when the muscle is more conditioned. :) Don’t worry though, fast contractions will also make the muscle stronger, but it’s not the most effective way as far as I know. What does burn a lot? I do not understand what you are referring too. ;)
