Does large GIRTH affect length gains?

As I have a large 7” girth when erect, but am only 5.25” in erect length.

I’m wondering if this frustrating lack of ANY change whatsoever is due to my proportion of large girth to relatively short length. Something to do with a wider volume of tissue that needs to be manipulated than most people here, maybe that is part of the problem?
I’m getting nowhere with my PE here and there is talk that large girth makes it harder to gain length, some say it does, some say it doesn’t. But I’d like to get to the bottom of it and ask what people here think and advise? Anyone?
