Does everyone keep track of reps/time or do people do it by feel too?

I am wondering if there are any guys here who tend to go by feel as opposed to time/reps. I have been doing jelqs and hand clamps every other day but I have gone more by feel. It’s been a while but I really got a perfect jelq technique. I get up to about 90% erection and then I clamp with my hand. The erection dies a little and I kegel blood in until it gets red and pumped up. Then I do a slow jelq while trying to keep the erection level up. Picturing a nervous girl works wonders…. After a while I realized that I was not counting but I was paying attention. My penis was getting pumped up and staying pumped flaccid. I stopped when my penis started to feel tired. I finished up with a few hand clamp/squeezes. I have never done it that good but I basically do a very freestyle type of every other day routine. My penis is all ready either healthier or longer and I didn’t even nail it until tonight. It really works because I try to expect no gains so I don’t really think about it.

Anybody else like to go by feel with a less structured routine?

I see what you are saying. I was obsessed in the beginning of my PE career with counting each stroke, but after a while with trying and failing I tend to go, like you, by feeling.
I do preset a time let’s say 10 mins and if I feel my unit has gotten enough or can take a bit more I do it. Just try to enjoy what you are doing and if it feels right it tends to be.

The human body is excellent at giving signals of when enough is enough as long as you listen. I truly believe this. And hopefully it will show in future measurements as well :)

It depends, if i’m testing new methods then I need exact times to measure gains. For established methods I just make sure I pass a minimum time and like you, I just freestyle it from there.

I am writing down everything I do. How many jelqs (minutes), time under tension, when to add weight, ADS total hours, feeling I get after a workout, warm ups and what type of a warm up, when to measure, how many kegels…..
Of course, if I supposed to do 30min of jelqs, but after 20 min my unit gets depleted, I am stopping workout because it had enough and I write it down, this way I know if I over did it, and on the next workout I know what was going on and how to start the new session. Keep track of everything. This will save you time and reduce the chance of over training.

I keep track of everything. I don’t time each stroke. Instead I try to aim for 3 seconds per jelq and then at every 100 I see how much elapsed time passed. It should be five minutes, but it’s usually 10-20 seconds faster or slower than that.

Start (Oct 2010) NBPEL: 5, BPEL: 5.875 inches, BASE GIRTH: 5.25 inches, MID GIRTH: 5

(November 2013) NBPEL: 5.875, BPEL: 6.625 inches, BASE GIRTH: 5.625 inches, MID GIRTH: 5

Goal NBPEL(7-7.5)xMEG(5.5-6) (journal)

I think the farther along in PE you are and the more conditioned you are the more you will go by feel. Early on though I would say record, record, record. I record every jelq I do, I count if off as if it was music 4/4 time… 1,2,3,4…2,2,3,4….3,2,3,4, etc etc. That way I know I am slowly jelqing and I keep track of the number I am on. How you do it is up to you but keeping track of everything like Turnau said has many benefits.

I love fitness and weight lifting so I am well aware of how important detailed records are. I just don’t feel that it is a good carryover to PE. Going by feel allows me to get my head into more of a playful mood. Even with the jelq itself, I go by feel because I get so engorged with the hand clamp that it hurts if you go to fast anyway. To each his own is a very important concept.
