Are we evolving towards more foreskin or away from it or is the amount we have “just right”? Hard to say, but certainly with our current dunderheaded ability to fathom such things, I would say that the removal of something from the human body as, “extra” is presumptive.
Can you survive without an ear? Yes, clearly, but that doesn’t make that ear an, “extra” ear, nor does it make it a functionless appendage.
I don’t discount the notion that the way (and time during which) an individual is circumcised might affect penile growth. A very tight circumcision might inhibit the ability of the penis to attain the same level/size of erection that may have been possible were more skin left on the penis.
Also, the cutting of the penis during the peak of puberty might have some effect on the penis by altering the chemistry within it during this crucial time due to the fact that the surgery is essentially a trauma and with trauma comes trauma chemicals. But then, what’s to say that these “trauma chemicals” also couldn’t juke your young shwantz in some way to make it bigger.
Alas, this will be impossible to determine because the answer could only be determined by doing experiments on the order of what one finds in ‘Brave New World’ which we, at least to my knowledge, are not conducting right now.
So, yeah, I can see a chance that this could have some effect. Might play into what you did with your own son if you ever had one, but where we’re concerned, it’s usually a hand you’re dealt and you just need to deal with what you’ve got. Wouldn’t hold any hard feelings out on my parents for getting it done though. The doctors tell them it’s all good and the parents believe. There’s, “no difference” and foreskin is, “potentially unhygenic” and could, “cause problems” and all of that, but really, who knows.
