Does Age Affect Gains

Hey Y’all,

I heard that age affects the quickness that you can gain. As you may have guess the younger crowd can gain quicker than the other because of the abundance of the something or other. I’m not a biologist. Anyway, any input would be appreciated.

I gained one solid inch before my first two months of intensive dry jelqing. I was 69!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMO age doesn’t matter. Older guys may gain quick because they regain lost size etc, and young guys can gain quick because they might still have a lot of body growth potential left.

If you search for it, then there will be TONS of threads on this. From memory though, I seem to recall older guys gaining more easily due to weaker ligaments and such things.

I’ll say this - collagen tissues (such as located in the tunica) are weaker as one ages.

I was 40 when I started, now I’m 43. The rest is in the signature.

You can maintain collagen at healthy levels with vitamin “C” between 1000mg-3000mg. As you get older protein requirements go up as well. The reason ageing starts to accelerate is do to poor diet, poor smell,poor taste. To maintain taste and smell make sure one gets adequate zinc 50-100mg per day.

Damn, that sucks. I mean that’s great, but I’m 20 so I guess I’m going to have a tougher time. All I’m trying to get is a inch and a half though. Plus some girth.
