Do you BELIEVE statistics?

There we go!

One of my psychological issues is that I can’t even believe science, for this matter only.
Science puts the average length of the penis less little above 13 cm (5.1"):

http://onlineli brary.wiley.com … /bju.13010/full

This very site would prove a much larger measurement:
Average Gains and Starting Measurements
Here average starting length is 6.3 in - 16.14 cm

So where’s the truth? It’s more than one whole inch of difference!

What do you believe?

What I often do, is to think that those studies are meant to reassure men.

Average Gains and Starting Measurements is based on self selected (biased towards US, South America and Europe) and self measured data.

The meta research you link is really good quality and there is no self measurement. It’s likely to be a lot more accurate for average penis sizes than our data.

If you look at the Kinsey research, you see the bump that self measurement gives to data.

Yeah. But MY penis is also self-measured. So I would fit it into the self-measured stat.

Yeah but the point of self measured stats is that generally people seem to round up. It’s probably not enough to cover the discrepancy. So you have to add in the self selecting thing. That means that those below average are less likely to report or maybe less likely to get involved in PE or maybe that geography and genetics are in favour of our members (in either sense). You could probably construct other reasonable arguments. It’s hard to prove.

The point of these stats is probably more about the gains. In the end, this is a penis enlargement site not a penis size site, so where you start or finish is a lot less interesting to most people here than how much you gain.

Ask someone else to measure you. Sorted :)

I believe 80% of people are in between 5 to 7 inches long and in between 4.5 to 6.0 inches fat.

I also believe that average has to do with race but nothing drastic.

I also have psychological issues. I have OCD and penis size is a trigger. I spend the rest of the day thinking impulsively about it! Hope you get really better! All I know is that the brain is strong! A woman can have a better experience with a 4” than a 6” or even 7” if she’s turned on. Us guys and even woman tend to think that size is what matters the most but its not true its your brain and your perception of what turns you on. I’ve had sex with a fatty and not sexy girl once. Trust me we just felt close to each other and I felt really horny as fuck! It was one of my best experiences even if I had seen more sexy woman before. Sex is fun and free not “only” an ego thing that’s no truth!

I am not convinced that everyone measures penis length the same way. If the studies you cited measured it as (what we would call) not-bone-pressed (NBP) length, 5.1" average doesn’t sound unreasonable. Here, Thunders measures length as BPEL (bone-pressed erect length), and for people of average weight, there could easily be an inch difference between the two.

Live long and prosper.

There is a report available that “averages” the statistics compiled by about five different “reliable” studies and reports that the average BPEL to be about 5.7”.

As they say, statistics don’t lie but liners use statistics.

Start 11/09 BPEL: 5.5", EG: 4.4"

Current. BPEL: 6:4", EG: 5.5"

Statistics don’t lie, but people do.

Think about it, if you were going to lie about your penis would you bother lying about it’s smallness or its bigness? People won’t lie on the small side. It just flies in the face of our psychology.

So if the self reporting stats are bigger than the second party measurements; well, that’s just mental inflation I think.

May 2016 BPEL 6 3/4", NBPEL 6 3/8, EG 5.25

July 2016 BPEL 7" NBEL 6 1/2, EG 5.5

Realistically speaking, I think it is safe to assume the average BPEL penis is just under the 6” long mark, and just under the 5” girth mark. Average is also a range, so likely the bulk of the population land somewhere between 5.5-6.5” in length, and between 4.5-5.5” girth.

Current: BPEL 8"/NBPEL 6.75" MEG 5.2", BPFL 6.75"/NBPFL 5.5" FG 4.5"

Realistic Goal: BPEL 8.5"/NBPEL 7.5" EG 5.5" | Optimistic: BPEL 9"/NBPEL 8" MEG 5.75" | Dream: BPEL 10"/NBPEL 9" MEG 6.5"

I don’t believe the average girth wise. I’d say average girth is probably 5-5.3” and length 6” BPEL. I’ve seen tons of really thick guys but not as many long ones.

Starting 4/15/15 7.3 BPEL and 4.9 MEG

Super lazy and inconsistent :(

I tend to believe the statistics based on studies over anything else.

If that were the case, then the average condom would be designed for 5-5.3” girth and not 4.5-4.9”. Condom companies aren’t stupid, and design for what works for most. The fact most guys who are above 5.5” girth say even larger sized condoms start bugging them is a telling sign of what the real range is.

Also keep in mind that shorter lengths make girths look larger. After I use my bathmate, my flaccid is about 5.5” long and 5” around and looks fairly thick, unlike when I am normally erect.

I talked about size with a friend of mine who is average in length and 5.1” EG.
Said he’d take some length but would not want anymore girth, even if free, safe and instant, because he already has issues getting it in (been with 2 girls).

And yeah, at 5.6” EG normal condoms feel very uncomfortable and unsafe to use and unless you go shopping in a sexshop you can’t get anything that’s much wider.

Start 06.2012 BPEL: 6.1" EG: 5.3" Current BPEL: 7.1" EG: 5.6" Goal BPEL: 7.5" EG: 6"

I agree with the condom company line of thought. Even their “larger size” lines like the Magnum really squish the heck out of me.

With the millions if not billions of dollars flowing throught the condom companies I don’t think they would intentionally make all condoms too small for Johnny Average to use.

If a normal condom falls off of you, you’re under average.
If a normal condom fits perfect, you are average.
If you need “large” condoms, you are slightly above average.
If the “large” still doesn’t fit, you are certainly above average.
If you have to use a newspaper sleeve as a condom, you are huge.
