Did you begin for aesthetics?

I’m a semi dedicated gym goer after recently hitting a deep depression and gaining 55lbs (Fat) over 4 years of being a sedentary slob, I’m currently trying to get my weight down so it’s a while yet before i have to make the decision…

I find myself asking the questions do i just want a bigger penis or do i want my partner (other people for single guys) to think woah that looks huge? It sparked after reading about the illusion having big legs can give making your penis look smaller and how can i avoid making it look smaller if and when i decide to pack some muscle on? It’s more than likely a non factor for a ntural lifter who just gets slightly bigger quads but i’m curious does it have that much of an effect

So yeah why did you start for yourself only or to get the response from others? also add input to the above questions i find myself asking if you can.

Big legs doesn’t affect it’s size to women

8x6 is still 8x6 with 15” or 30” thighs.

I started this cuz I’ve been small my whole life and I wanted to change that.

I just didn’t want to be that small guy to females. Right now it’s kinda different I still do this for others but it’s more of a confidence builder for me.

Start Jul 2016 - 4.5 BPEL x 4.25 MSEG.

Peak - 6.6 BPEL x 5.13 MSEG

You’ve done an amazing job thus far I only hope to get gains as good as yours :) well done.

You can have big fat legs too, ya know? I’ve shared pictures on here and with girlfriends and never once did somebody say my dick looked small because my quads were so developed. I have a gut feeling your eye compares your dick to one’s waist size more than their quads.

Started for some length and to make my glans bigger. No go on the glans.

You may wish to pick up a good book on aesthetics and proportion. Then decide what you want out of your weight training. Take the silhouette of an average man, and it changes dramatically by making the two show muscles larger — the shoulders and calves. If you’re more interested in strength and power, then you want to concentrate on the two largest muscles — upper legs and back. If you’re most interested in long term health and fitness, then you’d concentrate on your core.

I’ve always followed one guiding principle. If I stand naked before a woman, I don’t want her to say, “what huge arms” or “I like that big chest”. I want her to say “what a great body”. So everything should be in proper proportion. (Although I do like it when they say, “What a big, beautiful cock”.) And something else I’ve always practiced, and you younger guys should also consider. As you age, gravity will play a significant role in how your body looks. I’ve seen too many older weight pushers with sagging pecs and asses. Even today at age 67 my pecs are high, firm and squared off, and my ass is small, round and firm. So concentrate on upper pecs and pectoral-shoulder tie-in. And don’t develop a big ass that in time will fall half way down to your knees.

Best of luck to you. And may you have a lifetime of fitness, a great physique, and huge rock hard erections.

I like this approach, I do however feel personally i’d like to look “Strong” not just good, any suggested reads? congratulations on looking after yourself so well at your age, I only hope to be as happy and healthy as you at that age!

Absolutely! Looking at the countryside beats looking at a concrete jungle.

I’ll do some checking on possible reads. Passed some literature on years ago to my son who competed several times in the Junior Nationals bodybuilder competitions. He’s on vacation now, but will later try to get some titles and authors.

But if you want to “look” strong, you can’t go wrong with well developed shoulders and back. Wide, thick shoulders even in clothes tell people that you’re someone they don’t want to mess with. And having grown up during the fifties and sixties, Steve Reeves was the bodybuilder / movie star that I worked to emulate. He was known for his aesthetic, symmetrical, and proportional physique. He had well developed shoulders, a “V” shaped torso, and squared off pecs.

Quick story. Graduated high school weighing 160 pounds at 5’ 9”. Had a 26” waist, 45” chest and 16” upper arms. Worked that summer before college on construction. It was a brutally hot summer, and worked 12 to 14 hour days either slinging cement or cracking it up by swinging a heavy sledge hammer. Too hot to even eat lunch most days. so was getting by with a good breakfast and a snack before bedtime. Knew I was shedding pounds as the summer progressed.

Near the end of that summer, went to a carnival with a couple buddies. There was a carny barker guessing peoples’ weights. We watched, and he was pretty good. He guessed my buddies’ weights within ten pounds or so. Then it was my turn. Got up on the little platform where he put people. He walked around and around really taking his time. I was wearing jeans and a T-shirt. Finally he said, “Damn, never had anyone with so much muscle. I’m thinking you’re between 185 and 200 pounds. He went with 185. So got on his scale — and weighed 133. He refused to believe it, so got on the scale himself to check if it still was working right. Then he said, “Dammit man, you have to be hollow”. Can almost guarantee you, it was the shoulders and back that fooled him.

I’m doing it mainly to be more than satisfying in bed, and to stretch girls out a little. Though also I guess the confidence boost would be overall quite welcome! My body is already pretty good - I’m lean but could have a bit more muscle. So I’m not at all concerned about the aesthetic (naked) look, because I feel like I’ve already got it, despite being of average penis size. Good luck with your training - for sure work out, lose fat and don’t worry about “big legs” or anything like that, being fit and healthy is the biggest turn on for women, way more than the size of your dick! :)
