I figured out you can do this:
Ingredients:
1-L-asorbic acid powder (There’s a “NOW” brand version, and many others…. Luckily we happen to have some already; a different brand though (I don’t know the name)
2-aloe vera juice (walmart sells this, but 2 gallons at a time; it’s organic, and unsweetened—we happen to have this too).
3-distilled water (i.e. just boil some water).
Easy Do It Yourself DIY Vitamin C Serum:
(I got this off skincaretalk.com, sorry I forgot the exact thread).
The mixture:
2.25 grams of L-asorbic acid powder
1 tsp of aloe vera juice
1 tsp distilled water
Mix it and apply it after you dermaroll. It wont keep overnight, so only make as much as you can use (with the right proportions). After rolling this should be very well absorbed by your skin… Supposedly L-asorbic acid oxidizes right away. If you want to make DIY Vit C serum that lasts for a few weeks at a time (or longer), you need a 1 tsp of witch hazel (or vodka), ferulic acid, and bio-something sea kelp.. check skincaretalk.com for the full recipe.
Also, climax spray from alldaychemist.com is a good lidocaine (or whatever) numbing spray if you’re going to dermaroll your face or neck. I hear it takes 30 to 45 minutes to take effect (or something like that).
alldaychemist.com has cheap retin-A also. the only problem is the $25 shipping and handling (so its best to buy in bulk!).
I have been putting some retin A on my stretch marks… soon I’ll start dermarolling (probably tomorrow!). I’ll try and remember to put some feedback here. I hear people that also use Retin-A on the stretch marks sometimes get better results. The key is not using retin A daily when you’re starting out (otherwise, you might get a rash if your body can’t handle it). If you get a rash, you can’t dermaroll or anything; you just have to let is heal, so be careful.
