Thank you for all the information. I never tried the Magnum XL because I thought those were for over 10” I’m not that big, I have not measured, but I’m sure I’m not there. Any way I will now try that. I think it is more because of friction and width. While I carry condoms, I don’t carry lube. I will look to see if there is a small portable lube. But I thought condoms were already lubed? O’ well, thanks for all the help.

Why are you people so worried about the length of a condom? As long as you have around a .5” more than your length you’re good to go.
If you mean to say you thought XL Magnums were designed for 10” of girth…I’m just speechless. It means you don’t really know much about the anatomy. XL Magnums are for roughly 6”+. The rare person who is 7” + in girth will have to get custom made condoms.
You are unlikely to be in danger of having a 10” girth.
Regardless of any specific girth, friction due to a tight fit is of a concern if there is little or no lubrication - whether from the woman or the condom. Even so, most condoms can handle that for a bit; adding ‘extra’ lube is only necessary if the woman is really dry and the condom is unlubricated. Prelubricated condoms should have enough, even it’s a tight fit. If you have particularly aggressive rough sex a thicker ply of latex might be worth looking into, as might polyeurathane condoms, i.e. Avanti.

Put a little lube on your glans and upper shaft before you put the condom on to cut down on friction. This will also increase your own sensitivity with the condom on.

The only condoms that have ever broken on me were magnum XLs, and I’ve broken around 5-6 of them. A friend of mine who wears XLs also has told me he has broken probably 10. My girth is a little over 6, and when I last a long time, the condoms would often break. I ended up not wearing condoms because my ex was on birth control and she liked it better without condoms anyways. I left room for the tip and everything, but if I would last for over 30 minutes, there would be a good chance that the condom would break. I remember hearing somewhere that condoms aren’t supposed to last that long anyways. One thing for sure is that XLs are a hell of a lot more comfortable than regular magnums.

6.25 base girth, maybe a little under 8 nbp.
I am about 7.75-8 NBP and 5.75 girth. Base is close to 6 and my head is about the same I think. I have not measured my head but it is the largest part girth wise.
The only condoms that I have consistently broken was the Trojan non-latex ones. I think they were polypropylene. I cannot get normal condoms on while hard. I can unravel them past my head. The normal magnums are an issue even at times. My girlfriend thought I was a dork that could not put on a condom initially until she gave it a try and told me to try a larger condom.
I have used magnums for a long time. I started using the XL’s about two years ago and never looked back. I think I had broken one or two normal magnums until I started using lube every time. It should be added inside and outside of the condom. Silicone is definitely worth the money in my opinion.
