Condom preferences

I just looked at the thread a few down a few minutes ago, but I am still unsure about what to get. I am about 7-7.25” by about 5.4-5.5 in. Girth erect and I would like to know some brand preferences and experiences that convinced you on those.

I say start with the trojan large and go up. Buy 1 of each to test them out.

I think the easiest thing to do, is buy a range of sizes once, and see what feels best. It’s worth spending an extra $20, to get the best fit for life!

Yea, that has been a question of mine also. So you guys advise just buying multiple sizes and test them out?

Also Gimli, I tried your workout today, bloody good. Definitely a step up from the actual newbie routine.

I really like Contempo Wet&Wild. They’ll fit quite well and feel like you’re not wearing a condom at all. They are also well lubed. I’m larger than the rated size and they’ll still stretch to fit. I’ve been using Magnum XLs and they feel uncomfortable to me compared to the W&W.

Apparently that condom has been discontinued. Where to get some?

This reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Elaine is hording her sponges after they go off the market.

Funny, that’s why I’m using the Magnums … I just figured I was going to have to internet order or something! :( That just plain sucks … I don’t want to be using these crap trojans for the rest of my life.

I guess the search is on. I’ll need to look at some other contempo products. I suspect their other products may work as well, it’s just my g/f doesn’t like the ribbed and we really liked the lube.

Dude, I’m around your size and Trojan Magnums are the best.. None of that XL stuff though (not yet at least)!

I don’t like the difficulty getting them (Trojans) on - the rubber is like a darn water hose to me. It does add to desensitization which some like, but those Wet & Wilds were pretty much like wearing nothing at all, which she and I both liked.

Having said that, we live in a wonderful country with a free-market so we all get to pick the product that suits us best. I’m certainly glad the Magnums are there right now, as they beat having nothing.

Now that I’m single again, I was thinking about trying these new polyurethane condoms. From a condom website:

“Durex Avanti (lubricated) The first polyurethane Non latex condoms. Stronger and thinner than latex, nonporous and non-permeable to all viruses including HIV. Safe to use with oil based lubricants. Durex Avanti condoms warm to the body’s temperature unlike latex condoms and is hypoallergenic. If you are allergic to latex the Avanti condom is for you. One of the thinnest condoms available to date.”

The dimensions are 8” x 1.5”, similar to the Trojans. These are a little more expensive (about 2x) than good latex, but hey, there are some things not worth cutting corners on. I’ll let you know how they go—assuming I get a chance to use them anytime soon!

You will have no problem getting the magnum to stretch down to the base of your penis, as it is 8.1” long. Even the smaller, normal Trojan condom would be able to stretch down to the base of your penis, as it is 7.8” long. Oh, and in case your curious, the Magnum XL is 8.5” long.
