Clamping

Hey guys,
I spose I’m not really all that new anymore, however I am a newb in one aspect.

Clamping.

I’ve been PE’ing for 3 months, and am looking to get into clamping now. Today I bought a cable clamp, and plan to get into it asap. Only thing is, in terms of articles and information etc, I don’t know where to start looking and start reading! Can I please get nudged in the right direction for clamping info?

Starting size: (April 1 2007) 5.95" BPEL x 4.65" EG. | Progress Thread (plus pics)

Now: (August 20 2007) 6.6" BPEL x 4.81" EG. Half way towards my goal! | Current Stats

Short term goal: (3-4 months) 6.8" BPEL, 5.0" EG.. Long term goal (1+ yr): 7.5" BPEL, 5.5" EG.

Are you kidding? You still haven’t found the SEARCH button?

Click it. Then in the mini-window that drops down click on “Advanced Search.”

When that window opens enter clamping in the search term box and just below it select to limit searches to titles only.

Does mummy still hold your dickie when you pee?

Jeez, nevermind that sarcastic moderator?. There are indeed many great clamping posts to be found via the search button. However, maybe I can HELP vs. Just post a snotty reply. Maybe somebody is tired of being a moderator?

CLAMPING Everything You Ever Wanted To Know

I don’t have a problem giving my fellow human help.

Maybe somebody is tired of people not using the functions of the forum for their own benefit?

When you have 1,000 “helpful” replies, then you can start giving the moderators shit, until then, back off.

Hold on westla registration is closing soon and I’ve a good idea that it is going to be a long shut down this time.

This P.E. Site is the most rigid in Rules & Regulations in becoming a member and remaining an active member.

First it took me almost a month to become a member because of the strict registration time-line(s) and quota of new members allowed per registration day(s).

I have to admit this site is very intimidating when you first arrive here. There is so much information to read through and digest. I spent the first 3-5 months searching and reading in fear of being banned for such newbie question(s), now I don’t pay no mind to it. I get a little frustrated now at the newbie un-searched questions. But you must remember we were all there at one time. IMO we should look at this like a helpful Big Brother and give direction instead of discouragement. Why do I have to spend hours even days looking for something when you can simply ask for the information and get the answer in fraction of the time it would take to search and read for yourself. Granted use the search feature available first and give it a fair honest attempt before inquiring. The attitude is almost like I got mine leave me alone and go get your own. If Westla90069 would of left it alone and not answered along with the others here, Nick33 would have finally got discouraged from no response and tried the search feature or just left the site permanently. Without active members here whats left?

But ThunderSS is going set everything straight and alleviate the issue … Right?

How’s that? ;)

Cool .. Thanks!! Does that mean I’m a honorary Mod

It’s not unknown for me to post links to previous threads when faced with a difficult question. And do you know how I find all those threads that I post in answer to those difficult newbie questions? I search for them. Having seen many posts I can find things faster than a newbie because I know the right search terms.

HOWEVER, in this case there are hundreds of posts asking about clamping (nearly 30 in the past month with “clamp” in the title) and finding the basic clamp info threads is not at all difficult. Pointing a relativel newcomer to the search button saves other people, not just moderators, from taking the time to do it when the new guy can easily do it himself.

I have to agree with using the search feature as a daily practice to obtain information one is seeking before asking a question. The information is out there you just need to go search for it.

Advantage Search

Next they’ll probably want you to tug on their dicks for them.

That’s the main reason many of us continue to stay with, and contribute to this forum

LMAO

Although I am sure that I have been guilty of an unsearched question before, and may do so again.

There’s nothing wrong at all with pointing anyone to the search feature. However, when you stoop to a lower level, that somebody who should be representing this forum should not stoop to “Does mummy still hold your dickie when you pee?”; that is not only quite offensive, but not called for.

Are moderators exempt?

Well, does a new member.or any member for that matter deserve to be insulted because he/she did not use the search feature?
