Now before someone jumps on me for having two opposite goal-oriented exercises in mind, hear me out.

I’m a newb here, but have been PE’ing in various ways for over a year now. I have an SG extender, a Capt’s Wench, several Cable Clamps, and an IR lamp, so safe to say I’ve been trying some different things. Current measurements are 6.25 BPEL x 4.75 EG. My goal is somewhere around 7x6.

So on to my dilemma: I can’t freaking decide what path to go down first! Everything that I have read on here has pointed me toward length first because a “thin rubber band stretches easier than a thick rubber band.” My girlfriend (of many years) and probably future wife knows that I am doing the exercises (we live together so it’s near impossible to hide) and so I’ve asked her before whether she would prefer me to be thicker or longer and the answer is always a resounding “THICKER!”

Because of this, I have lately been focusing on clamping and jelqing after I dabbled around with hanging for a couple weeks, but seemed to lose time for it in my schedule. When I clamp, I typically do 6 x 10 minute sets 5-6 days a week with a 5 minute break between each set and by then end of my 6th set, I’m 5.125 EG at the head while in the clamp. I’m also considering adding bundled stretches in the extender to this routine to help add some MSEG.

But now I’m kind of stuck in this cycle of indecision about whether I should dedicate my PE time to hanging or clamping (I really don’t have time for both with work, lifting, etc.). I’ve read that hanging gives you base girth gains, which I don’t want to miss out on, and the obvious length gains. But I’m wondering which measurement to attack first since my girth goals are so much more ambitious than my length goals and because my girlfriend obviously cares for girth, not length. I bottom her out as it is right now - more length would pretty much go unused except for certain positions.

Another worry of mine is going for girth first, reaching my goal measurement, and then losing it because I switch the majority of my time to hanging and don’t keep clamping all the time. I don’t know how long it takes to “cement” clamping gains, but I assume they would probably dwindle away if I cut out clamping altogether.

Also just to add some more information, I don’t really care whether I hang long or short or hang thick or thin, but I have read that both clamping and hanging help you have a bigger flaccid hang anyway. And when I think about my “dream penis,” it’s definitely a thick, shorter one as opposed to a longer, thinner one.

So to wrap it up, I’m just looking for any thoughts/opinions/advice anyone might have about how they would approach this situation.

Why not wear a high quality extender (heard good things about the Penimaster Pro and I’m waiting for mine to be delivered) while you’re at work (instead of hanging) and then clamp when you have the privacy? Should be a good combination of length and girth efforts while saving lots of time.

Why don’t you just do manual stretches and jelqing like the newbie routine?

Most suggestions I have read say to do length work first and then concentrate on girth. But, do not be surprised if you put on girth while doing the newbie length routine, should you go that way. Also, if you choose hanging, a lot of guys say that they have gained in girth as well, just from hanging. I am starting my focus on length and hopefully some girth will come along for the ride.

If you bottom her out now, more length is only going to make sex less enjoyable for both of you. If you think you’re going to marry this girl and you’re already at her length limit, there’s no reason to gain any more length other than to satisfy your ego. I would, therefore, concentrate on girth. Even if you decide you more length later on, it’s not like girth work makes length work impossible. Anyway, the theory that girth work even makes length gaining more difficult is unconfirmed at best.

It depends on how much time you wish to invest. Both exercises are effective if you do them correctly, but hanging requires significantly more time than clamping. This should be considered just as much as your personal goals. Do you have time to effectively hang? If so, I would recommend length first and then girth. If not, then don’t bother hanging half-assedly, it will not be effective.

Instead, I have decided to “focus” on length first with Hanging and manual stretching
At the same time, I am working on girth with erect (85-90%) jelqing and some limited clamping.

This is working for me. i have also decided that if my time on a particular day is limited, the girth work is what get’s sacrificed

This sounds like a great idea and optimally, I would choose this path, but with me it would be reversed where the length exercise (hanging) would be eliminated if I didn’t have enough time. And from what I have read, hanging can’t be done 1 day on, 1 day off if you expect results.

And to answer some other questions people have, I have been through the newbie routine. Spent 3 months rigorously dedicated to it and I just didn’t get much out of it. That’s why I bought the extender and started clamping. But after a couple months of wearing the extender at work for 4-6 hours a day, I still saw next to nothing in gains. It was then that I bought the heat lamp and started manual stretching followed by extending under the heat lamp and this finally brought results. But manual stretching is tiresome on the hands and so inconsistent with the pressure, which is why I made a wench and started hanging under the heat lamp and then wearing the extender as a cool down.

If there is such a thing as hard gainers for length, I believe I may be one of them.

And as far as girth goes, I went through the newbie routine like I said and did all the jelqing that came with it. At best, I saw slightly harder erections, but I was already pretty rock hard to begin with (I’m horny a lot).

So now that you guys know more about my experiences with PE, maybe that will help offer a better understanding of why I am where I am today.

Start: (Aug 2001): 6 1/2 bpel x 4 7/8 mseg

Current: (6/24/14): 7 3/4 bpel (7 nbp) x 5 5/8 mseg. BEG 6 1/4. BPFSL 8 1/8.

Goals: First: 7 1/2 bpel x 5 1/2 mseg ACHIEVED! Current Goal: 7 nbp x 5 3/4 mseg (almost there!)

You have answered your own question here Wolf.. And so has your girlfriend. Girth is what she wants, she said so herself. If you are bottoming out at times already, then length is not an issue. Go for girth and make her happy. That’s the litmus test for success

Yea I guess you guys are right lol. I know girth is what I want MORE. I guess the question was just whether it made sense to hang for that 3/4” I wanted before even starting girth work.
