I have been struggling to maintain a good erection for my jelqing sessions (only manage 30-40%) and have been doing the newbie routine for a couple of weeks now. I have found that if I wrap my thumb and index finger around the base of my penis and squeeze and then keep it there while I do the stroke with the other hand I get a far better Jelq from it because squeezing the base is engorging the shaft much more before I start the stroke. The question is, is it ok to do it like this? Will it still work in terms of increasing size? I don’t see any reason why not personally but obviously I am new to this so would welcome the opinion of some guys with some more experience.

I heard jelqing at a lower erection level will benefit length only, and not much Girth. Either or, you still get girth, but majority of the training from a low erection level jelqing session will increase length.

I don’t know about you, but a lot of other people are different. Have you tried to do the Kegel stop and starts for about 5 seconds. I seem to be getting huge boners when I practice my Kegels everyday. I do about 75 before I go to sleep, and it works for me. The next day I wake up with erect boners. Also stay away from soda, and anything with a lot of caffeine and sugar in it. This affects erections as well.

I have had the same problem. Right now I am on a PE break from a little stretching scare I had, but before that I was doing exactly the same thing as you. My lack of a strong jelqing erection started changing though. Due to the combination of stretching, jelqing, and Kegels, I have been getting better partial erections for jelqing. My newbie advice is to keep doing what you’re doing. Just be careful on those jelq squeezes you are doing (that’s what they’re called). With that static tourniquet you have at the base, it will blow your man up like a balloon, and can pop like a balloon if your other “OK” grip squeezes too hard. Just jelq in a well lit area so you can see the color of it, and don’t ignore the feeling that it might pop. It could! I know this may be unorthodox for a newbie to give advice to a newbie, but my recent injury was not on jelqing, it was on stretching. My jelqing has already got me small gains with only a month into it using a similar routine. Just take it easy man, which is exactly what I’ll be doing with my stretching from now on. Peace.

This is the annoying thing for me as girth is the most important thing to me. That’s why I do the squeezes. It enhances my boner and I feel like I get more out of it.

The other thing I forgot to mention is keep track of how your penis feels after every PE routine. I just got done right now, and mine feels tender, and definitely fatiqued after this jelq session today. I think the more you Kegel, the longer you can maintain these erection levels for longer session, but you also have to watch out for injuries as well.

I was on another website, I think it was PE Gym. Some guy on there mentioned something about the PI’s. They are indicators that let you know how you are doing, and that you should monitor these things after every session, and even on your off days. These things will let you know how your Penis is doing, but then again I’m no expert at this. I’m just going by what others had to say.

I do mine between two pieces of 1” PVC. Top over bottom, two hundred at a time. 4-5 times a week. Noticed less turkey neck and a much better hang. Never any pains or discoloration.

What do you mean by 1” PVC ?

1” PVC pipe.Google, is our friend. Along with Bing and all the others.

I have the same problem and considered doing the same thing—effectively, forming a loose “cock ring” with one of my hands while the other works.

I have some EQ problems and this method doesn’t quite solve it—I need lots of head stimulation to maintain an erection, and seeing that I’m uncircumcised, it’s not easy when jelqing.

Physiologic Indicators (PIs) to help growth!

Strange that you heard about that in another website. Were they just summed up or did you see exactly the same thread without anything mentioning Thundersplace?

To the OP: not having a 70% for the whole jelqing session is perfectly normal. People just stop when the erection subsides, regain some erection and go ahead. You can also break down the 20 minutes jelqing session in 2 or 3 session through the day. Flaccid jelqs are useful too anyway, they will stretnghten erection too.

My problem is I don’t find it sexual, so as soon as I start jelqing it’s a slow decline to about 20%. Glad to know I’m not the only one that struggles with this. Can you use a cock ring while you jelq?

My problem exactly. I am not cut and I too need a lot if head stimulation to maintain a boner. Nice to know someone else shares my issue!

If you are uncut dry jelqs could work better.
