Hey all,

A few questions about PI’s. I am two weeks into PE now and thus far everything has been going great. Except for what I noticed today. I saw that I had a bruise( or at least that’s what it appears to be ) that is taking up about 1/3 of my glans. I have not experienced any feeling change or anything like that, only color differential, which is very obvious. I thought that I had a good handle on PI’s, but this has me stumped. EQ is still good and no red dots. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so what did you find to be the cause?

Where is the bruise located exactly? Improper stretching grip/too much blood in the glans when pulling can cause discoloration of the tip quite easily.

The bruising is on the tip. I use an OK grip and place it just below glans, but once I start a stretch the skin pulls and grip slips over my glans a little. Maybe I am pulling to hard?

The glans is very sensitive and should be avoided at all costs.

Make sure your stretch grip is somewhere up the shaft, or you will continue to see bruising.

I try to stay away from the glans as much as possible. I can’t find a way to put any kind of force into a stretch without the skin pulling up to the glans though. My shaft girth is also greater than glans girth so I think that just adds to the problem of not being able to get the right grip.

I really hope I can get this figured out by the time I am recovered.

It’s most definitely because of your grip. I wouldn’t ever use an ok grip for stretching. Instead, grab your shaft with you whole hand such that the glans are either in your palm or all the way on the other side of your hand. 3 or 4 fingers curled round the underside of the shaft. Your thumb won’t do much work, but will help stabilize the grip. A gripping aid helps too. A piece of soft fabric (old t shirt or similar) or toilet paper will prevent any slippage.

That’s the way I personally stretch. I’ve occasionally held a light upward stretch with an ok grip for kegelling and it gives me the exact same glans discoloration immediately.

So if I use my whole hand for grip, whether it’s over hand or under hand that will take pressure off of the glans? I am having trouble visualizing using anything other than my glans as an anchor point. If you were to use your whole hand wouldn’t you still be anchored just below the glans, putting the most pressure on the glans and causing the stretch?

This is tricky business, thank goodness for the members here at TP, helping newbies like myself getting started in the right direction.

Well, the glans will always be the anchor point. The difference is that it won’t get compressed in the same way at the bottom so you avoid building that high pressure in the tip.

So basically for a straight down stretch you would make an ok grip just above the glans and then add a few more fingers further up the shaft to spread out the pressure area? Maybe OK grip is not the correct term but I think you guys will surely understand what I mean.

I have found that with manual stretches, piss pulls etc. That twisting the stretching hand slightly takes some pressure off the glans, and more directly hits the ligaments.

Not exactly. Invert your hand so that your thumb is facing your stomach, palm down. Then grab your shaft above the glans with your whole hand. Usually, I place my ringfinger right in front of the coronal ridge, grip tight with 3 fingers and pull.
And as a-unit mentioned above, sometimes twisting or bending a little will improve your grip. I often twist forward a bit during downward stretches so that my penis bends around the underside of the knuckle of my forefinger.

Well I have waited five days and the bruising is still there. It has not subsided at all, actually probably worse. Does anyone know of any tricks to help speed up the recovery time? I know patience is key, but I feel like this problem is really hindering my newbie gains, seeing as I am extremely limited on what I can do.
