Bruise

Bruise

I’ve been doing high erection jelqs lately. I did my routine(with stretching) and was edging for a bit and turned on the light a saw a black bruise on my shaft. It freaked me out. How long should I let it heal before starting up again? Anything I can do to speed up the healing process? Has anyone had what they thought to be a bruise but it stayed as discoloration? I’m kind of worried that it could cause discoloration there.

If you are new to this, i don’t think you should be doing it so hard, start slow and easy, less is more when you begin. Does the bruise hurt to touch? If so i’d say wait until it doesn’t hurt or until it isn’t bruised anymore, which could be days or weeks. Most of all, take it easy!

Saw the post count, i’ll retract the newbie stuff. But still let the bruise heal for a few days.

It doesn’t hurt at all. I wouldn’t have known I had it if I didn’t look down at it.

Eugh, i’ve had some serious oversight on your post, didn’t read between the lines. How big is said bruise?

The diameter is a little less then 1 cm across. And it’s a pretty good shaped circle. Should I ice?

Check this out…is your bruise similar? Maybe even a little bit darker than the one pictured here? If so, I think following the advice in this thread would be advisable.

I suppose icing wouldn’t hurt, but it could completly negate the work you just put in, with the jelqs. Just leave it.

So he said that he was going to start PE a couple days after the bruise faded away. Do you advise that too? After it’s gone how long should I wait to start up again?

It is most likely a veinule(smaller than a vein, hence less connective tissue to withstarnd the force) that bursted. I wouldn’t ice it, the point of icing is to reduce swelling that prevents it from healing.

I would apply moderate heat for a while and let it heal. It is most likely very shallow and probably will not get in the way of PE. If you want to take off a few days it’s not a bad idea.

Specially if there is no pain i wouldn’t worry about it too much.

Crow,

I gave myself about 5 days before I started jelqing just to make sure that I didn’t bruise the same spot again, but I started doing some light stretching probably 2 or 3 days after.

Use some creme with Arnica, it will help the bruising to go away faster.

I had black spots as well, just rest for 3 or 4 days until it’s gone.

I also think as a future precaution you should PE with the lights ON. Spots happen, but I know I’ve had some pretty bad ones because I didn’t have good visibility of my dick. A couple times the room was dark. Once I tried moving the routine to the shower to use body wash as a lube and the bubbles covered up my spots til they were awful.

Lesson learned. Don’t PE blindly.
