Blisters from pumping

Blisters from pumping

Hi all, 1st post!

Firstly thank you to everyone at Thunders place it is a source of light in the dark for us.

My story is this - tried jelqing about 2 years ago for a month or two - didn’t see gains. Then began it rigorously and more regularly, had to stop as developed a blister beside my urethra opening at the tip of the penis, and also just under the front of the head. But it was more than a blister, it was a like a bubbled up vein that was rock hard. I left it for a few days but it didnt go down much until I took the initiative and squashed it between my fingers and it sort of made a pop sound and returned to normal. I don’t know what it was but I stopped jelqing.

Anyway, after watching a British show on penis size, a bloke with a pump got bigger ahead of others, so I decided to give that a go. I liked the pump because instead of forcing the blood downwards like before, it was a gradual thing where I could lower the pressure a bit.

So I have now been pumping on and off since before Christmas, and have been doing it with greater frequency, maybe 4/5 times per week for 15 mins, for the past 5 weeks. At the end of the pump, my penis is a little bigger, maybe 3/4’s of an inch. However it returns to normal size the next day. I’ve seen no real gains.

The main problem though, is that the initial problem of the bubbling vein under the tip of my penis is always there at the end of a session, surrounded by other little clear blisters that look a little bit like a cluster of Herpes blisters (they are not). Just wondering if anyone has had any similar experiences or could maybe offer me any advice? Very much appreciated!

Hi, what kind of pump are you using? Is it with or without a gauge?(meter)
I think you pump it to hard, do you warm up before the pumping?
I would say start with warming up and do shorter sessions. Something is not going good at this moment.

Greets

Yes, use less vacuum and shorter periods inside the tube.
I used to push too hard and stay in the tube for long periods and usually got water blisters on the head.
No more. I make sure I release the pressure frequently, and regularly massage to erection to restore circulation to the glans.
Keep your glans soft and pink. If it starts to turn white and firm then its past time to stop. That is when the blisters show up.

You can usually tell when a blister is going to rise when you feel a stinging sensation on the glans.
Give open blisters time to heal - at least a week - before doing any PE. If you continue pumping before they heal you will get red discoloration like a bruise where the blister was.
Those spots are hard to loose.

Hi thanks for the replies.
I always leave a hairdryer on my penis for 3 mins to warm up. Then I put some lube on, get an erection, and put it into the tube.
Then I pump it to 1.5psi according to the digital gauge, then leave it under pressure for about 3 mins.
Then I release that and pump again to about 2psi. Then leave it under pressure for another 3 mins.
Then, I will repeat this gradually until I am about 3.2psi and my penis is at the 18cm mark. This feels a bit sore but stretchable.
If I release the pressure it goes down to about 13cm in length.
After about 8 mins of pumping, when the pressure is increased to 2.6+ psi., the blisters appear.

To be honest it doesn’t sound like you guys are having the same problem, my glans never goes whitish, always dark red and getting darker, like its full of blood.
What kind of routines do you guys use with the pump? Do you mean to do shorter periods pumping but more periods in total? EG. 30 mins - 5 mins pumping, rest 5 mins, etc. And keep the pumping at a low pressure?
Thanks again for the replies.

It looks like you are being careful and conservative in your routine.
You are probably not yet conditioned to the stress.

The glans only appears white AFTER you take it out of the tube.

Go slow and stop before blisters appear. If you have discovered what condition causes the blisters then stop short of going to that point.

Yes, it seems I will have to monitor the blisters for longer.

I did a session last night and kept the pressure low, around 1.5-2.2psi, but the blisters were there afterwards even though I was taking my time and massaging the area.

I read another post saying if you are not under high pressure when pumping then its a waste of time.

I am thinking I might try pumping at low pressure for 10-15mins to get well warmed up, then 5 mins high pressure to finish.

Has anyone had these bubbled up veins before? I think it might be a herniated vein. What do I need to do to fix it? If I stop pumping I will lose any gains I’ve had.

I also measured up last night, BPEL is 6.5”, GEL is 4.5”. Is this an average length or small?

We always deal in pressure units of inches of mercury, so your psi readings have to be converted. Basically, 1 psi is about 2”hg so the conversion is pretty easy.

Even when you are pumping at 3.2 psi that is a little high at 6.4”hg, but even that pressure might be high enough to cause red spots or some discoloration, but not blisters. And the time you are spending in the tube is not excessive.

The only time that kind of pressure might cause blisters is if the shaft of your cock is packed in your cylinder and all of the pressure is being focused on the head. Other then that, you must be very sensitive to pumping.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Hi gprent, I’m hoping if I just take longer to pump at higher pressures, by gradually increasing over 20mins, that the blisters will go away. Tried that last night for 12-15mins but no luck. Sensitive to pumping lol sensitive to jelqing lol I’m starting to feel like a little girl ! Patience really is key!

The blister is from overuse/ rubbing fellas. Like any blister, you may want to lay off it for a bit and moisturize the affected area. A penis health creme will be more effective than a regular hand lotion or antibiotic ointment. These cremes are made specifically for penis skin and are beneficial in many ways. Check ‘em out. Just make sure you get a creme with all natural ingredients to avoid any nasty side effects. Cheers!

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I can use to protect my penis head when pumping. The problem is when I pump my penis head is rubbing against the cylinder a causing cuts on the head. Thank You!

I was getting blisters on my glans admittedly from dynamically pumping in the range 3 - 14”Hg using a water pump setup (Mr Fantastic). Based on my experience which is different from yours I can offer the following.

1. Believe it unlikely the blisters are caused by rubbing but more likely from fluid passing through the glans skin and forming under the outer skin layer after applying substantial vacuum for some time. I managed also to get blisters from using a Vacextender.

2. The blisters seem more likely to form if there is moisture on the glans skin and coating the glans with a drying agent such as baby powder has worked well for me to prevent blisters. I found blisters much more likely with water pumping than air pumping at similar vacuums.

3. I apply the baby powder directly to my glans then fit a silicone glans protector (sold on eBay as a “large toe protector”) over the top but I suspect a condom might serve the same purpose if you can work out a way of stopping the condom working free at the base end (perhaps a short silicone sleeve or a not too tight silicone cock ring might do).
