Best way to get length gains

12

I am new to be giving any sound advice, but I have read that jelqing and manual stretching can give good gains. I started a jelq and stretch routine a week ago so I have yet to see if it works on me. Im hoping for just 0.5” in length gains.

Happy gaining and play safe

My advice for you is just do Newbie Routine for now until you do not see any gains at all after few months.. Clamping and hanging is NOT for beginners. I had an injury from clamping and I am still recovering so I did no PE at all, its not fun. It is better to PE less than PE more and get injured. :)

Good job advising him. People should take these things seriously. And I don’t know why you guys underestimate the newbie routine. You start and you want to see result very fast. I count the 1/16 in the months, Not days. Just do PE and you will see gains, And be realistic with the time period. Nothing will ever happen over a night.

Start July 07 2011 = Length 6.5 Girth 5.3 ---> 07 / May / 2012 = NBPEL 7 In / BEG 6.2.5 In / MEG 5.8

Goal : All the way --- And no this is not my photo :D

Haha thx for all the insight, I’m just gonna increase my jelq time from 10 mmin to 20 and start doing a steches more often for 1 month to see if any gains occur, will report back if any results come in : )

You will see gains. This is out of the question.

We can’t advice people to go in a very dangerous method of PE, while they just started PE.

I NEVER did the newbie routine. I started out hanging and never had an issue. The advice is to be careful in ALL you do.

Serious starting point: Nov. 2, 2009/BPEL 5.75 x 4.75 inches.

Current BPEL 7 1/2 x 5.5 inches.

Goal: BPEL 8 x 6 inches. Hell, if I hit 8, I'm going for 9!

You maybe lucky, but he may not be. We should not take the risk, for the simple fact that its not worth it.

How long were your extender sessions?

I hang and pump, but still do the newbie routine. It is the core of my PE. Even on days when I do not have time to do my full system, i still jelq and get in a few manual stretches.

Okc,

As a relative Newbie to real PE as well I can attest to the advice regarding being ultra cautious in the beginning. My advice would be READ, READ, READ, READ, READ and learn. Here’s some of the Newbie advice from the vets I make a point of always remembering:

1. Being impatient and expecting quick results WILL result in an injury. Happened to me. Lost about 3 weeks of PE time recovering from being over-exuberant one session early. On.

2. HOW you stretch, HOW you jelq, in short HOW you PE, play a large part in getting results. Excellent form and the right amount of force (too much=injury, too little=no effect) are critical to gaining. Has been for me.

3. Sometimes less will gain MORE. See the linear routine as an optional approach. It’s helped me and embodies a sense of patience and discipline in PEing.

4. Listen to the long time vets here on TP, then judge their advice with caution and a critical mind. Good advice is found to have several supporting testimonials.

Perspective is what you need here. If you gain only one measly 16th of an inch every month then in a little more than a year you’ll have gained an entire inch. In three years that’s more than 2”! Many guys have taken 5+ years to achieve 2”. But gain they did.. Simma down I say man, this ain’t the drive thru at McDonalds.

Just my advice for what it’s worth.

How is it a risk when hanging with weights is WAY more controlled than jelqing and stretching? You have no idea how much force you are using when you stretch but with weights, you are fully aware of what you are dealing with. Not only that, there are so many veterans around here that all pretty much have the same advice: Start with low weights and low sets and get a good hanger. Where is the danger in that?

Okay guys I think Mr. Schlong is right. Then all of you stop jelqing, And go for hanging. I’m out of this subject, I do not need to advice people who doesn’t listen.

I never said to stop jelqing. I was making the point that PROPER hanging is not as dangerous as you are making it out to be.
