Hi guys stumble upon this forum and have been reading a ton!

Today is my second day doing the newbie routine. It is going well I guess. I just have a few questions:

1) I can’t go more than 5-10 jelqs with out getting an erection (75% erection or greater). When I get to this point I stop jelqing and let my penis become flaccid before continuing jelqing. Is this OK? Will my gains be hindered due to this? Should I be going about this differently?

2) I am fairly small. I would say 5 to 5.5” NBPL (although I still need to get a good measurement) and my girth is not good at all. I have a fairly skinny dick. Is there anyway I can target girth specifically?

3) I ordered the bathmate and I should receive it in the next few days. I saw a post about incorporating the bathmate into a newbie routine. Can anyone point me to this?

4) When Jelqing what am I trying to accomplish. I am doing what is done in the videos but I am not sure 100% what I am doing.

Welcome to the club!
1. Yep. Just let it subside and then start up again. A lot of guys have this problem in the beginning, but with practice, your penis will learn the difference between “play” time, (sex or masturbation) and “work” time (PE) It won’t affect your gains.

2. Just stick with the newbie routine and don’t worry about “specializing”. And get some good, accurate measurements right away! How will you know if you’re truly making progress or not?

3. Personally, I’d recommend ignoring the devices for a few months until you’re well conditioned. In the meantime, read lots. A lot of veteran PEers aren’t really sold on the bathmate, but would recommend a “real” pump and cylinder. Read up on it.

4. You’re wanting to trap and force the blood in your penis toward the glans, thus expanding the tissues beyond their “normal state. There’s a learning curve, and when you get it right, you’ll know.

PE is just amazing ,It is a life changing experience when you see your penis measure a bit longer than it used too on the ruler, you will check so many times to prove that it’s false but it’s true .

The only advice I will give you from my own experience is ,Don’t feel bad when you don’t gain from the newbie routine some people don’t gain from newbie routine . It is meant to condition your penis for more advance exercises that are yet to come.


Started:BPEL=5.0" x MEG=4.6 .(actually I was between 4.9 and 5 so I went with 5)

Now:BPEL= 6.3 x MEG=4.8 .. :) Final goal = 7.0 BPEL x 5.2 MEG.

Finish the newbie routine before doing anything else. We ‘ll be here for you.


BPEL 7 EG 5.5 NBPEL 6.5 Flaccid length 4.5. Started Jan 2015 at bpel 6.5 nbpel 6.0 and eg 5.2 flaccid length was 3.5

If you are going for girth, you want to jelq up around 75% to 90% erect. Then with each jelq stroke, you want to feel the internal pressure of your penis increase as the jelq stroke moves down the shaft. Much like if you squeeze one end of a ballon, the other end bulges larger. What you are doing is moving blood and corresponding blood pressure down the shaft.

I would hold off on using your bathmate until you are fully conditioned to jelqing. Bathmates don’t have a pressure gauge, so it is easy to go overboard and break capillaries resulting in red spots of worse. When you do finally start, do not pump it up to full pressure.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

Just like everyone else said, finish the Newbie Routine and then try the Bathmate.

5 - 5.5 NBPEL is a perfectly normal size penis, maybe even slightly above average so no worries there man.

Get some solid dimensions so you can compare to them later. A good BPEL measurement is having the ruler push into your fat pad, (right above your dick base), until it touches your pubic bone and then measuring it at the very tip of the head of your penis. Also get a MEG measurement as well, this is the circumference around the middle of your shaft. Those will be good milestone measurements so make sure you have them!


4/9/2014; BPEL: 5.75", MEG: 4.75"

10/6/2015; BPEL: 7.18", MEG: 5.125"

Goal: 7.5 X 5.5, Retirement: 9 X 6
