Baseball Bat and Jelqing

I have read that just basic jelqing can correct a slight baseball bat shape, once we get the hang of jelqing technique/pressure applied, is there some validity to this?

I have measured my girth and there is only a 0.05” inch difference between the upper half and the lower half (lower half is base - mid shaft) so I would think just adjusting pressure on the jelqing could even everything out.

What do you all think?

From my experience the opposite is true. My mid girth is now greater than my base girth after 6 months of jelqing. It’s difficult to target the lower parts of the penis while jelqing unfortunately, but if you can figure out a way then jelqing should be able to fix your problem.

Pumping helps keep girth distribution even, but you have to take it easy.. If youre getting the baseball effect from jelqing it means you are using too much pressure at the end of your stroke and not enough at the beginning.

I’m about 6.2” at the base but 5.7”mid girth, but the shaft thins slightly in between, making the mid girth look bigger than the base and the head from my view point.


Began December 2009 at 5 7/8" length and 5" girth.

As of December 5th 2012 7 3/8" BPEL and 6 1/8" base girth.

Going for the magic 8"x6"

I have corrected this with a penis extender. My base girth was 15 cm, midshaft was 14.5 cm, and in between was 14 cm. Now base girth is 16.5 cm, midshaft is 15 and in between is 15 as well.


Sept 2020 BPEL 16.5-17.5 cm, BPFLS 17.5-18 cm. Clamped x4+ BPEL 18-19 cm. Head girth 12.5 cm, MSG 16 cm, BG 16.5 to 18 cm

Goal is 21 cm BPEL, 20 cm EL, 15 cm head girth.

I’m unsure how one is supposed to apply an even amount of pressure from the base to the tip. There’s simply not enough blood in the base to cause sufficient expansion, by the time my fingers slide up towards the mid shaft there’s plenty though. In order for there to be enough blood for expansion at the base jelqing would have to be performed at high engorgement levels, but I find that this limits the amount of expansion that can be achieved. Anyone have any tips to really work the base well?

Stretching, extending, and hanging will make the base thicker.

I actually have a thicker base, then it thins a little before widening out again. Like I said it is only a 0.05” inch difference, so I am hoping I caught it early enough

Unfortunately the dorm life does not allow for extending and hanging. Actually college life doesn’t allow for them either. I really focus on stretching when I do my routine, however my base can never catch up to my mid shaft. I’ve heard clamping will increase base girth as well and clamping is much easier to conceal. But I plan to save clamping as the very last bit of PE I do before cementing. I suppose I have 4 years at least to wait before I can do anything about my base girth.

I have a mild baseball bat shape, but it’s only present at times.

Most of the time I’m 6” around the base with a smooth even taper.

I’ve been working on a few possibly theories for why that baseball bat shape happens to some guys. As close as I can figure out I think it has to do with relaxing the kegel muscles before the jelq. A lot of guys don’t notice it, but they kegel when placing the “OK” grip and then relax during the milking part. That’s just really bad form. You have to keep your kegel muscles nice a tight during the whole jelqing set whether that be ten or a hundred flawless jelqs and only relax between sets. Same goes for stretching exercises and gadgets! Trust me, this will help you get more bang out of your PE and keep you from going soft during those wild all nighters.

Wow I actually do exactly what you’re describing TGD. I kegel blood into my penis before each jelq but relax once I begin the jelq. I’m not sure how this could effect whether or not I develop a baseball bat but I’ll definitely change my jelqing technique if that will help me get a more effective workout. Time to focus on my kegels even more now so I can keep my muscles contracted throughout the set.

It helps to think of contracting your kegel muscles like contracting your abs during any other exercise. Say for instance the crunching forward technique for barbell curls. If you tighten your “core” muscles like this you’ll add strength to your sets you didn’t even knew you had. It also helps to tighten your abs and your kegel muscles together with PE AND exercising so you strengthen that whole chain at once and don’t need to play catch-up with lots of fluff exercises like kegels and crunches. Tighten both your abs and your kegel muscles for ten seconds just to test this out and tell me you don’t feel a difference!
