Yes the tuner will work with any type of stringed instrument. It’s a clip on tuner that reads the notes played through the vibrations in the wood. There are even Snarks that have a mic and will work with other instruments or even a voice. Really fast & accurate little devices. Look on Amazon, very inexpensive.

And again I would say check out Youtube for great little tutorials on guitar care, how to restring & tune, and many other useful stuff guitar related.

Since you know how to play violin, and I mentioned that Lindsey Stirling girl, I thought I’d share my favorite music video from her. The song is called Moon Trance.

Also, I did not know that this would appear as a picture, but it is definitely a video…

Well thank you haha. Here are two more videos. The first one is of this group from Utah I believe called The Piano Guys. They are all talented and they have other videos involving cello/violin, cello/violin/piano, piano/cello, anything with a combo like that and they can do it. They mostly do covers of songs but there have been a few originals. This one is a cover of One Direction’s "What Makes You Beautiful" and it features 5 different guys and only 1 piano. It’s awesome.

This second video features Lindsey Stirling, my all time favorite violinist, and my favorite a cappella group, Pentatonix. They do a cover of Imagine Dragons’s song "Radioactive" and it is incredible. I should add that Pentatonix was on NBC’s show The Sing-Off in 2011 which featured all a cappella groups and they ended up winning. But before that competition the 5 members didn’t really know each other. The main guy Scott (blond hair), the only girl Kirsten, and the short guy with the dark hair, Mitch, were friends and grew up together. But they added the other two members, Avi, who can get some really low notes, and Kevin the beat boxer guy. They found Kevin on YouTube because he had some killer videos of playing the cello while beat boxing. And 3 years later, they have three CD’s, a holiday CD, and numerous tours under their belts. Enjoy!

Since we are talking cool music,

Check these two out. Watch the chick, she does the work of a whole percussion section directly on her guitar, while she is playing rhythm as well. The dude is just a badass guitar player that plays flamenco. Pretty impressive if you enjoy guitar innovation and badassery. :)

I don’t know that it’s all that important. I mean, to the guy it might be, but for me, I wouldn’t care one way or another.
