Are 12 pounds enough for gains?

I have lifted weights for two months now and eventually found a good hanging device which allows me to lift 12 pounds. Is this weight gonna be enough for seeing length results?

You lifted weights as in exercise for your body for two months? Or you have been hanging weights for 2 months? What type of hanger are you using EXACTLY?

Weight varies from person to person really and how tough their tissue is. Everyone is different really, so I can give you an absolute perfect number to gain with. I am the wrong person to tell you anything I believe, but I think the time and the angle of the hanging has just as much to do with good gains as how much weight. Plus how well condtioned you are determines how well you resist injury and don’t lose time which can be used for gains also.

I have been hanging for two months starting from two libs and increasing progressively to twelve pounds. Now I ask myself and to you: ” is this weight enough to produce gains or should I keep incresing it”?

Some people don’t care for the concept of LOT and believe it is bogus. I can’t tell you if it is a must or a must not to avoid/care about. Did you ever find out what your LOT was/is?

Are you hanging BTC (Between the Cheeks), SD (Straight down), etc…? I would think that adjusting all angles and trying them out could lead to gains before adding additional weight. However if you are used to hanging, slow addition weight being added shouldn’t hurt you.

Of course if some one in the know EXACTLY with Wench experience may be able to really give you better answers than me. I hope they chime in.

I don’t have any answers, but I do have a few questions for you twatteaser. I’m kind of iffy on the whole LOT thing myself. I’m not saying that it’s not valid, I’m just undecided on the matter. But anyway, my LOT is about 7:30, should I hang BTC as well? I’ve done it a few times, but I only hang this way rarely, as it’s not as comfortable. I could drop my weight down a bit & try a little BTC hanging for a while. I don’t mean to side track Buby’s thread, but I’d appreciate a little input on this, & it might be helpful to others as well.

Also, what’s your take on fulcrum hanging? Is this also a good way to hang for my LOT? I’ve been strictly hanging SD lately, so maybe that’s something I’m doing wrong. I do some manual stretches in all directions, but I don’t think that this is enough for me. I’ve been doing PE for 3 & 1/2 years now & I’m a very hard gainer. But, I’ve finally gained .5625” since the past summer & I’d like to get atleast .375” more. This would get me to 8.5” BP, which would make me very happy.
