Anyone with lengthening surgery

I would also like to know, especially about the length. Not worried about girth at all.

I gained 1 inch in length and 0.5 inch in girth. I was lucky… As when I under went the surgery 6 years ago, I did not know much about post op hanging, and I opted for the dual augmentation as sold to me by Dr. Rheinschild and his assistant.

Paulsen1711,

What type of girth procedure did you opt for? I also had dual augmentation done, but I went with Dr. Guinta. I gained no length and was left with a lumpy penis from the fat injection in my penis. I had to go back later to have the fat removed. My penis looks fine today, except that there are still a few fat lumps in my penis. They are small and no one has ever noticed, but I’m thinking about having them removed anyway. It annoys me and gets in the way of an accurate girth measurement. When I take my mid-shaft girth measurement, it’s actually closer to the head of my penis because the fat lumps are at mid shaft.

I am 5-months post lengthening only surgery with Gary Alter, who in my opinion is a fine surgeon who will do the job without complication. There may be others as good (or maybe not) but none better although that does not mean he’s the best at making sure you gain. No one is that person so what you want is a good surgeon and that he is.

As for the other things you hear, loss of stability, change in angle , odd and not natural flaccid hang, bad scar, none of these were true for me. My dick is in fact the same dick as before. I have noticed none of the negative post surgery experiences either physically or cosmetically.

I am just now starting to gain and I have been super dedicated to hanging. In fact it is probably the thing I do more intensely and with more determination never mind time allocation than anything else in my entire life. Can you imagine how insane that is? Again, I said I am just now starting to gain and it has been 5 long months and I have a very long way to go before I get my 1” if I even get that but I know I will.

I did say that I was gaining, which is good, and I was never able to do that before I had the surgery and I did try hard through various PE methods. That being said, I never did any hanging so it is impossible for me to know whether I would have gained and will gain what I hope to gain by hanging alone.

I will say that for me it has been something I thought about all the time and to have finally done it allows me some piece of mind in that I can at least say I pulled out all the stops to gain and now I will gain what I will gain. End of story and to me that is of value.

I am not against the surgery at present. I would say I am neutral but the jury is not in yet for me. I do believe, however, that on a purely technical basis if everyone hear believes in ligament stretching leads to length gains then it is hard to disagree that a release ligament gives you an advantage. In fact I would love to hear someone debate this assertion because I cannot see how it could not be true.

If I do gain 1/4” to 1/2” more I will support the surgery hands down albeit with the knowledge that you must hang (PE) for a very long time and for me I am expecting a year minimum with manual stretching thereafter most likely for the rest of my life just to keep what ever size I gain. That is a huge commitment. The $5K is kids stuff compared to that.

Side note to all those who have said they have gained. I hope when you all say this you mean EL. That is the end all be all and all that one should measure in my opinion.

I had the dermal grafts taken from the base of my left buttock ( and yes, there is a scar about 10 inches long and certainly not hairline in width (very similar to 8-ball’s scar, which in his case is located at his waist). Initial girth gain was 6.5 inches. Six years later (today) my girth has “settled” in at 5 inches at the base. Deformities on the shaft is not noticable to others, but myself since I know where the grafts are and where the grafts have atrophied — especially when erect. No deformities whatsoever when flacid.

I caution again to all considering surgery. You need to understand and hear the words “ON AVERAGE” —- that means some patients get less gains and others (the lucky ones) will get more. Unfortunately, there is no predicting who will be the lucky ones —- even with the most skilled surgeons and there are next to none.

Post surgery visually, you will notice your flaccid hang has gained the most. OFTEN times, to gain erect length, you will have to hang weights post-op. (Note that the surgeons conflict on how soon you need to start hanging…) I was lucky to have gained an inch EL and a net erect girth of 0.5 inches (after some atrophy of the grafts over 6 years).

Also, please understand that my surgery was done 6 years ago, and the surgeon was 6 years younger than he is today…

Baywatch-

How long post surgery did Alter recommend you wait before hanging? How much hanging (time/day)? How much weight?

My unexperienced opinion is that Alter is the “go to” surgeon as I’ve never heard anything bad about him. Further, he doesn’t do the thickening surgery (which IMO says a lot about the procedure). Rarely will you see someone turn away money because they don’t think they can do a good job.

IMO the lig surgery is relatively minor and $5000 for a permanent 1/2 inch erect (with no loss of stability, etc…) is well worth it.

Thanks

Hold on there Freedman. Yes the surgery is minor and I too would gladly exchange $5K (which I already did) for 1/2 inch erect BUT I ain’t got my half inch and I’m past 5-months post surgery.

In my experience there is no way to know if you will gain something or nothing and your $5K spend is well just that, money spent on either something or nothing.

As for Alter, my biggest negative is that he did not provide much direction regarding post op hanging and to this day via e-mail still does not give me much to work with. This place is way more than what he and I expect any other surgeon will provide.

Baywatch:
Keep the faith. There is no consistent data on how soon to start hanging, how much to hang, etc. That is why you are not getting a “straight” answer from your surgeon. If you do some digging, you will find that some complications of the surgery probable came from hanging too soon. From the looks of things you seem to be on track. Don’t rush things. Your best bet now is to follow the hanging advice in this forum since there is an experienced base here. Good luck.
