I was just curious to see of any of you guys put the ruler aside and simply gauge progress by feel. Might seem like a funny question because it’s simple to measure every few months.

I have been on a solid routine for just under a year and have seen very positive results. My routine consists of a good warmup with light stretches and recently I have started hanging with the captns wench. I did fully exhaust my newbie routine before moving to hanging also. In addition to manual stretches and light hanging I have stayed with the wet jelqs and some clamping.

So I guess where I am going with this is I am very dedicated to PE and have seen results, but any advice on what helped you to keep track of your workouts?

Any tips would be appreciated.

Yes. I prefer to feel rather than measure. I know when I am feeling thick and long. In the last few weeks, I have felt a lot lot thicker and perhaps a little longer. I better find the tape measure huh?

This is true. It’s not the same. Also, I think it’s healthier to go by feel. If you go by ruler, you’ll usually just be disappointed because you’re more than likely also setting unrealistic goals for yourself. If you go by feel, then you can just keep going, and eventually you’ll be feeling better about yourself, and more confident in yourself without stupid numbers getting in the way. That’s the way I look at it anyways. Happiness is more important than numbers.

I try to go on feel and the mirror, bringing out the ruler causes me to lose my motivation at times.

Before every measuring month, I have hunches on what I have gained or not, and I am usually wrong. One month I thought I had gained some girth and no length, but I gained some length and no girth. So for me measuring is a better way of being scientific and knowing exactly where you gained and where you haven’t and when you need to change your routine or not (if it’s working or not). If you ruler says you are bigger, you will usually feel bigger as well.

You really can’t gage by feel like cuban said. But as so as you grab that ruler the anxiety caused from excitement cause a loss in size immediately.

Go by feel?. Excuse me. Arent we here trying to gain length and girth?. I’ve gained a lot and feel like I’m 12 inches long, but unless you can quantify it, what have you really gained.
This is supposed to be a place where we can share experiences and techniques to help us gain. Forget about emulating the people who actually have got results, I’ll just copy the techniques and routines of people who feel like they have gained a lot.

Not trying to be a downer here; and I realize there are times when you feel like you are gaining, but the measurements aren’t quite there, but if you continue with your work; eventually, there will come a time when things go well, and you do measure your gains.

If people are to believe that this actually works; we need to have actual measurements and proof. Not “I’ve been PEing for 12 months and I feel bigger”.
