Another Ambitious Newbie

As with most newbies, I over did it the first three weeks. Actually had a size reduction.

Even with the huge amount of information telling us to take days off and take it easy with our workouts, we still over do it.

Since I started to believe in taking it easy and taking days off, during weeks four to six I have an erect gain of a solid 1/4 inch compared to overall starting length, and tremendously improved EQ. Most of this gain has been the last week.

I have come up with a couple of ways for us newbies to take days off without actually taking them off. We’ll see what the veterans think.

1. Take a day or two and do kegels only, no jelqing, stretching, or anything else. This may give the tissues time to recover, and let you feel like you are actually doing something towards your goal.

2. Do your jelqs and stretches very, very, lightly instead of taking the day off. I mean really lightly. Let me say that again: pay very close attention to what you are doing, and how erect you are, and do the jelqs extremely lightly. These are so light that I suspect that a veteran would not even consider what I do on “days off” as actual jelqs.

In fact, you may find that these light jelqs get more results than you might think. For this newbie, it takes a concentrated effort not to jelq too hard, and when I do this, I get results. I can’t just jelq away. I have to think about every jelq in order not to do it too hard.

Thanks for the tips chrono, I never thought of the light jelqs idea. Will be trying this when I decide to have a rest day.

If you are doing the newbie routine (or any routine, really) and going backwards in size it likely has less to do with not taking days off and more to do with the intensity with which you are doing the exercises.

You are obviously beating the hell out of your dick and your dick doesn’t like it. I’m glad you’ve eased up.

There’s nothing especially wrong with this approach, if you have the self-discipline to go real easy. Hopefully people will see what your experience is and take heed.

I will add that you can do Kegels at any time throughout the day; in a boring business meeting, at the chick flick your girl drags you to, in the car.

I do sets of three sets of fifty on the train as I commute to work. Fifty fast, fifty slow, fifty holding the flex for 5 seconds.

The point is you can never really do too many Kegels; they keep you toned. :)

Well done reporting your experience, chronostone. Your body sent you a pretty strong PI and you took heed. This will make all the difference in your PE progression.

I forgot to mention that I repeat this quote to myself several times per day, and often a jelqing session:

“A beat to shit dick will not grow.”

This came from this forum somewhere, and I apologize for not attributing the quote.

There are probably quite a few newbies like me out there who need this saying, so all together now:

Good luck mate,I am also in the same situation as you.A newbie more or less,I’ve PEd before with noticeable girth improvements but stopped due to lack of time.

In any case I think what you noticed as size reduction was probably due to weaker erections caused in turn by abusing your dick which is a big no-no in this game,I made that mistake myself unfortunately.

What are you doing to overwork yourself? I started the routine rather strongly, 5 mins warm up, 10 mins stretches, 20 mins jelq (tight grip, not painful, not loose) with kegels, 5 mins warm up, 2on/1off while frequently having sex with my gf or masturbating. It took me a couple of sessions to get the technique down, but I’m pretty close to properly doing them now. I’m on my 3rd week and I haven’t felt any signs of exhaustion, pain or tiredness after finishing the workouts. Heck, sometimes I think I’m doing it too lightly.

I have to ask, how did you over do it?

Everybody is different so it may take more for one person to over train than it does for another. But I do like the idea of going lightly.

No harm in going lightly to start. One can always gradually increase intensity.

Over time you’ll see what works best for you.

People do have a tendency to get all gung-ho at first and beat the shit our of themselves. I suppose it’s part of the learning curve. PE takes time. Period. Best to do it in a fashion that keeps you healthy and optimally funcitoning as a first priority, and gaining as a second priority.

Nskrd, I don’t know what to tell you, maybe too intense, maybe the Newbie routine was too much for me in terms of reps.
I have realized that wondering if you are doing it too lightly is much better than wondering if it is too intense. Just like Mr. Happy says.

Phyriel, I agree totally with going completely off on off days. In time I know I will, until then as a newbie I am too eager. That’s why I have decided to do these super light workouts or just kegels on off days.
