Am I overtraining?

Hey guys,
Let me first start out by saying that I have been PEing on and off now for about four years, and some of the routines/exercises that I incorporate into my routine should not be attempted by anyone without a good year of consistent PE experience.
To get to my main question, I measure my girth almost daily, and what I notice is that before my workout my girth is right at 5.5”. After my workout it is typically 5.75”. But here’s where I’m running into difficulties, the next day after my routine my girth is almost always 1/16 to 1/8” smaller than my benchmark of 5.5, it takes 1-2 days off to get back to 5.5”. Does this mean I am overtraining? My progress has been slow, I’ve gained about .25” in the last 8 months or so of dedicated girth work.
As for my routine: I usually warm up for about 10 minutes with a hot shower or a rice sock
- 5 to 10 minutes of firm dry jelqs between 50-80%
- 10 repetitions of Uli’s holding between 35-60 seconds
- Once or twice a week I will throw in an 8 minute clamping set
- 30 minutes of water pumping at 4-5hg after every workout

I do this routine usually one day on one off, but try to pump almost every day if I can. I also do 15 minutes of fulcrum v-stretches almost daily (don’t know if this has any impact).

So to those well versed in PE, I’d like to know if the smaller ‘next day’ girth is a sign that I’m overdoing it, or if that is a normal phenomenon that most don’t notice because they don’t measure daily as I do.

Do you have morning woods? How about your lifestyle? Are you a smoker? What do you eat? How much you sleep?…..

These all will affect you penis size. If you’ve lost your morning wood completely, you’re most likely overtraining.

I usually only have morning wood on weekends, or days I get a solid 8 hours of sleep. I have a very labor intensive job during the week and I typically get less than 6 hours of sleep, my diet isn’t the best but I am in good shape, 6’3” and 195-200lbs. I rarely smoke anymore, I purchased an electronic cigarette, but even when I smoked a pack a day I still got morning wood about the same frequency as I do now. Its only the next day after a workout that I notice a shrinkage, the following day it is usually back to its original size.

Lack of sleep has been the best EQ killer so far. Combined with smoking and coffeine, the shrinkage of the penis has been overwhelming for me.

When I was in school, I used to sleep like 5 hours per night, I always bought Red Bull before school and I smoked a lot back then. Maybe pack a day worst.
Sleep well, eat well, do not use drugs like cigarettes and coffee. Better bloodstream= Better EQ

I think that your lack of sleep is the reason why you’re experiencing the minimal girth.

I agree completely with you on the lack of sleep and smoking, for a while I’d drink 3-4 monsters/red bulls a day just to stay awake, horrible stuff! The EQ doesn’t really seem to be the issue, my length stays the same, and erections are firm, just smaller girth wise for a day or so.

I have a similar routine as yours.. I dry jelqing with ullis combo and finish my jelqing routine with Sadsaks exercises. Then I water pumping almost everyday..
I sleep from 5-7 hours; drink coffe, eating both junk food & healty food.. but I’m I’m having morning woods almost eveeyday!

But I have switch to girth routine from lenght routine and when I did my lenght routine I had no morning woods.. just once a while but not often. But I gained anyway..

Heat is the key!

Your tunica is less flexible after a workout because it’s been injured, it just doesn’t stretch as well until it’s fully recovered.
I believe it’s due to the slight inflammation preventing the collagen fibres from sliding past each other easily.
There’s also a protein released that tries to pull gaps in injured tissue closed.
You could try reducing your workout by 10% at a time until you stop getting shrinkage the next day or make sure you completely rest on your days off.

I’ve tried both ways and a harder workout every 2 days works better for me than a light everyday one especially with girth exercises but everyone’s different.

Capernicus, that is a great explanation as to why many of my best gains have always come after a short break. I have found my penis is often more stretchy after a short break.

Also, I have never seen an explanation as to why PE generally improves EQ as long as you do not over do it. Do you think the mechanisms at work are related to what you have written above?

I’m not entirely sure but as far as EQ goes I guess any body part responds well to regular sensible exercise, “use it or lose it”
I have read somewhere that some amount of ED is related to a lack of elasticity in the tunica so that would fit with my previous comments.”
I’ve certainly proved to myself that overtraining gets you nowhere.

I tried clamping everyday per Monty’s advice for about 2 months this summer and didn’t gain a thing and had horrible EQ, just didn’t work for me. Do you think the intense fulcrum stretching that I do would be affecting morning wood/EQ? I guess I never really considered the possibility that stretching would affect my erection quality, girth exercises always get the bad rap for that.

I had the same experience with clamping everyday, also tried pumping everyday for about 3 months and got nowhere.
As far as stretching the general opinion is everyday is fine as long as you don’t overdo it but be careful with fulcrums as they focus a lot of force on one spot.

If you suspect that the stretching is to blame just reduce it a bit and see what happens, the most I ever do with fulcrums is 5-10 mins and it hasn’t affected EQ at all.
The bottom line is you are seeing gains so you can’t be far off the ideal frequency.
