I’m not sure if I’m doing a jelq properly or not. Am I supposed to feel pressure in the head from it expanding? That’s the only time I feel like I’m actually pushing blood up. If I don’t feel anything except the pressure from my grip, is that a bad jelq? If I want to feel pressure in the head, I have to kegel right before the jelq, and kegeling becomes harder and harder, so eventually I stop feeling the pressure. At that point it feels like I’m just massaging my penis, which I’m not sure is still correct or not.

I may not be the right person to reply to your question, or perhaps I am, as I’m relatively new to PE (4 months or so in).

I feel that strokes where you feel pressure all the way up to the glans are good! That’s what I’ve read on here, and if anyone with experience disagrees, please correct me! If I get good erections at night, then I feel I did my jelqing exercises correctly! Take it slow/work on correct technique until you feel it comes natural. For now, it feels very natural to me, but I will not hesitate to ask if that changes! I try to kegel, but I do fatigue, and only do it as long as I’m able to. Good luck!

Looks spot on to me. With the correct erection level, you should feel the glans expanding at the end of each stroke.

Jelq is all about blood moviment inside the compartiments of the penis. If you can feel that, I would say you are on the right path.

Now you have to find for how long you should jelq and how long you should rest to stimulate gains.

I’m new to PE too, been doing it for just 3 weeks. But I think that feeling/seeing your glans expand at the end of each stroke is good. I also would recommend to do it slow: if you feel any little pain, you’ll be able to stop before it’s too late. And you’ll learn the movement better. Personally I take 5 sec (maybe a little more) for each stroke.

Depends on if you are jelqing for length or girth. When jelqing for girth, you should be around 80 to 90% erect, and each jelq stroke will cause an internal pressure increase that you will feel and see the expansion. But when you jelq for length at around 60 to 70% erect, you feel more of a stretch with each jelq stroke and less internal pressure increase.


The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.
