Advancing a routine

What should come after completion of a newbie routine (ie, gains have completely stopped)? Is there an intermediate routine or should you construct your own based on your goals?

What sort of planning and decisions should you consider if you do make your own routine?

You should now have a better understanding of your own goals, your own responses to training, and your own level of conditioning.
You may just change some exercises into ones that will stress you more like fulcrum stretches or manual clamping.
You may also decide to move on to hanging, pumping, or clamping.

The point is you should know more about you own body at this point.
