ADS for a newbie.

ADS for a newbie.

I am over a month in now, and I want to try the ADS. I made one with a handkerchief and two rubber bands. It is actually quite comfy to wear. It is soft enough to keep blood flowing and has enough traction to keep it hangin’. Also, since it’s fabric, I can wash it.

Any thoughts? Shall I give it a try only 1.5 months in? I want to prevent turtling throughout the day to lock in those precious little gains.

I hope you don’t take Shilow’s advice literally.

Personally, I’m not convinced that “merely” pulling a little is enough to make the flaccid permanently larger - as ModestoMan argues, the tunica consists on elastin and collagen among other things, where the collagen seems to give the final (fully erect) shape and the elastin interweaves in the collagen structure and keeps the flaccid small when not in use (this was probably a good idea in the days back when we didn’t wear pants or other protective things). As I understand it, elasting deforms under reasonably large forces - lower than collagen, but still. If you are using an ADS (all day stretcher) at a very low tension then you probably need to combine that with manual exercises (along the theory of keeping “microtears” open while healing in an extended state).

The commercial ADS:s use a force in the range of 1-3 lbs, you can simulate this by buying a small fishing scale in a sports store and pulling on that to see how hard your rubberbands actually pull. There is only one proper piece of research on the actual use of ADS:s that I’m aware of (search for MrDStein’s post on the phallosan research paper), and that was geared to measuring flaccid (not erect). The phallosan is a “cinch down” strap thing, I’d expect you get about the same tension as the other models.

As for using a homemade ADS - why not? I do.

Man, I tried that ADS, and it makes my unit all wrinkly :rofl: . I keep it stretched all day flaccid at 5” as opposed to the usual 3.5” - 4.”

Anybody else get all wrinkly? My wrinkles go away as soon as start my routine or let my unit grow.

I also use Phallosan - and yeah, there might be some wrinkles after wearing the condom for a few hours. But they go away quickly - within minutes. I think it’s not a problem. What is good with phallosan is that it doesn’t affect blood flow at all or maybe even increases it, which makes it suitable for all day wear.

Someone please enlighten me.What is Phallosan?Why don’t I know what this is,and more importantly,why don’t I have one?

I’ll say that I gave up on the damn thing when I couldn’t get the damn condom thingy off and on without a major hassle, never mind how much it fucking hurts getting it over the glans. I’m using the medium size, the large is like a bloody sock.

Bombazine uses the PenisPlus * happily, and according to his stats he’s swinging some pipe.

One sad thing about Phallosan is that the condom doesn’t last as long as they promise. I average 8+ hours/day (have to skip days some times for privacy reasons). With that level of use I would say that the condom starts getting bad after a month and then quickly proceeds to be almost useless. As you are in the US you could buy them for <9$ from the original producer Bard (see other thread) instead of ordering them from Europe at a high price! Lucky you!

Hey! This ADS was a great idea! I am already seeing improvement in my hang. The wrinkle thing is actually not a big issue, it goes away five minutes after taking it off. I didn’t measure, because it isn’t time, but, damn! It’s really working. I wear my makeshift ADS of cloth and rubber bands for about 8 hours a day. The shaft is getting more of a flexible quality to it lengthwise. Most of the hang is developing at the base of the shaft. I am not tying it down and stretching. I am starting out by wrapping the rubber bands around the handkerchief while the shaft is in a stetched state. Later on I will tie it to a leg or something. I can’t believe it stays stretched like that all day! I wear baggy pants, so no one knows the difference. I was concerned about circulation, but, so far, I check my head from time to time, and my fingers are usually colder than my glans. Also, the cotton cloth is comfortable, it actually feels good to have it stretched all day :up: .

You gurus think I should keep including my MANUAL stretches in my routine, or go straight to jelqing now that it stays stretched all day?

mgus answered your question about manual stretches above. He said that you should do manual stretches if your ADS is at low tension.

I started about 1.5 months now and I was thinking of “uping” it up after I breach the 2 month mark. Could I ask you the steps in making and useing your ADS? Or any of the links you used? I tried searching, but after 3 pages of going through links, I decided it would be faster this way as I am in no rush. Your way seems cheap and easy to do and looks safe.

YES do manual stretches as well, the more the merrier.

You cannot manual stretch too much in a day, but you CAN strecth too hard.

I would follow the Newbie Routine alongside your ADS regime.
