Active hangers let’s talk here.

Some random advice I’ve never read on any hanger so far. If while hanging you feel the need to fart, cough, or sneeze you may want to pick up the weights while you do this otherwise it can be quite discomforting or even a scary experience.

So I hang BTC and SD and I’ve been gaining since starting. I’m up to 14lb SD and 11.5lb BTC. I’ve been hovering at these weights for a month or so. I feel like I still get a good enough workout from them that I haven’t felt the need to increase past this yet. I average 3 sets a day, try to hang every day at least once, and this seems to be going well for me.

I don’t know if anybodys had a similar issue. When I started hanging BTC my BIBs skid would hang on the edge of my butt cheeks and that would hold the BIB steady and prevent it from turning, rotating, or twisting. Well as of yesterday I guess I’ve gained that last 1/8 or 1/16 of an inch that no longer allows the hanger to brace against my ass cheeks to prevent it from turning and it hangs completely below my ass. Now I have no way of preventing it from twisting which can be quite painful or even dangerous. Anybody have a solution? I’m thinking about 2 long pieces of string hot glued to each side to be able to hold and steer it like a horse, haha.

Hanging is not that popular nowadays because it takes a lot of time.

Also because there’s a long learning curve and most of the people give up before mastering it.

I believe that more people use vac hangers than the Bib. I never got comfortable with the Bib. With the Bib, I find myself cutting the session short because of discomfort. With my vac hanger, the issue isn’t comfort, but risk of injury. It is easy to get blisters with a vac hanger.

I think Dvdck’s right. It seems that extenders and hangers are a little out of fashion. More folks seem to be focusing on manual exercises, pumping, and clamping.

I love my BIB, but I disagree with it taking time. I hang 1-3 sets daily and I’m getting results. My sets are only 20 minutes long each. I vary between Straight Down, which is soooo easy and I Usually read or play a game during it, or BTC which is a little more discomforting and less options for what to do during this time. Usually I’ll post here or read the news online.

I wouldn’t mind trying a Vac Hanger as well although they sound complicated as hell. When I looked at the grip system it had so many pieces I was overwhelmed and never ordered it. I think that’s one of the things I like about the BIB. It has a learning curve sure, but its simplistic.

I agree that it does seem most people are pumping, clamping, and manuals. I don’t like manuals myself. Too tiresome to get the same result from a hanger. Clamping is amazing and works to well I don’t honestly know if I’ll ever have to pump although I would like to try. It’s hard to find the right cylinder size in according with the guide I read about pumping. I can’t find a tube that fits my specs and has a gauge here to save my life.

Just buy a 11 x 2 tube and you’ll be fine.
