A question about Heat Theory

Standard procedure is just to use heat correct?.

So I’ve read it mentioned here that there are three steps to heat theory or based on the science of heat and it’s regard to the structures of the body.

1. Heat to warm up
2. Heat during exercise
3. Then stop heat to let it cement in that state

My question is does this theory hold true?

Say for instance I do a pumping set should I leave the heat on for the entire set, or, should I get warmed up, get to a desired point in the set, and then when if feel I’ve made good changes or expansion, should I then turn off the heat according to scientific theory I’ve heard mentioned here?

Please weigh in with knowledge, experience, and thought.

Yeah ending exercise with normal temperature edging feels good.
Heating increases the elastic range and makes it easier to expand. Everyone can observe that as true.
If you stay in the elastic range you will rebound to the initial size.

If you cool down in the expanded stage you might keep that expansion without the heat easing it. That is somewhat the theory.
Of course there are lots of parameters here that might make both statements true or not true.
I like to pump with ice water sometimes after very intense exercises and it sure feels different then with heated pumping. The expansion seems to last longer with less edema then with heat.

If I could time it perfectly I would expand with heat at ease into just the plastic range(just outside the rebounding elastic range) and then cool down to keep staying just in the plastic range.

I clamped for a long time with heat and had almost no gains cause I wouldnt get into the plastic range but stayed withing elastic range and after some time(can be over a week) the tissue rebounded.

Have you noticed gains from this method?

Ambience temperature over 36ΒΊ celsius increases dramatically the speed of the cell mitosis. If you believe on the theory that our penis grow from cell divison, warming down could be something worth to try, specially while in extended state.

The collagen theory is the opposite: training under heat and cooldown afterwards, so the collagen could “solidify” while the penis is over stretched (post-workout expansion). This theory is also promising because more than 90% of our penis is collagen.

Remember that heat fade quickly because the blood is running. In matter of seconds, fresh and “colder” blood is entering and the “hoter” is leaving, dissipating most of the heat in the process. That’s why we nail on the point to use constant heat.

Makes sense about keeping heat flowing because blood from the body is technically cold comparatively lenny, definitely a complicated topic

Right Lenny, heat and cold application will fade as the body tries to regulate it to normal body temperature.
I think applying ICE in turn actually means that after the ice is removed the temperature might go up internally. At least it appears like the body rushes more blood in afterwards to counter the cold.

The turtling effect when applying cold seems to come from the skin as when I dry my dick up after an ice pump no turtling is happening. If I walk around with wet cold water on it it seems to retract some.

Tiger, I cant say if I gained cause of that. I know that my ice cold treatment gives me a better plumper flaccid hang then when I warm down or just stop with room temperature.
Heat for sure makes it easier to expand. This is more or less proven I would say. But if you didnt expand enough you wont gain as the tissue will simply rebound.

I also read that heat increases the elastic range and while you can expand further you might also “snap back” faster if tension is relieved.
With the cold it cuts down inflammation and I do it after very intense exercises. But if your exercise wasnt as itnense and you want to carry over some fatigue to the next day cold might actually heal it too fast.

I like to end every exercise with at least room temperature edging to carry over the prior created expansion.

There are many possibilities with this and I recommend to you to just try some stuff for yourself and check your PI’s to it.

Thanks for the reply, I alternated heat in an earlier set and I can’t say much about it other than when the heat dissipated I got more skin pain from increasing pressure with the pump due to less pliability

I’ve generally been venturing into higher than 5 hg pressure pumping for moderately long sets so I’d say the intensity is getting up there

Definitely lots of unexplored territory here in PE

Yes it’s definitely helpful getting things pliable.

Been reading the forums for a while out of curiosity have you made any recent gains Titleist, and what does your routine look like these days if you don’t mind elaborating, you used to pack for up to an hour or so at moderate low pressures was that for temporary expansion or how did that work out?
