It is my sincere desire that this document really helps other guys avoid the mistakes that I have made. I’m truly ashamed that I waited this long to write this.

When I came to this website, I did so out of a belief that doing this would truly help me grow my penis and have more confidence to be the type of man that could really please his wife/girlfriend.

My horror story began in May 2003, when I felt a twinge in my penis after I masturbated the wrong way (face down, humping the bed). Doing this deadened the nerves in my penis and made me impotent for a few days. This can be attributed to TMS (Traumatic Masturbatory Syndrome). There is a Yahoo Group dedicated solely to sufferers from TMS. TMS happens when you masturbate face down for a number of years.

That twinge signified that I had done serious damage to my penis, however, like an idiot, I did not stop and change my behaviors.

My erections were on and off during the summer, but eventually I made the life-changing mistake of doing erect jelqing once I returned to school in the fall.

The effect was simply disastrous. I fear this ruptured some veins and capillaries. My dick ended up shrinking dramatically both in size and girth. It would behave as though it was cold and it was shrunk in, like an accordion. I did not have normal daily erections, and the erections in the morning were very weak. I lost both size and girth in my penis size and it changed shape. My confidence fell hard. To make matters worse, rather than letting it heal, even though my penis felt weak and tired, I would masturbate to compensate for feeling bad about not having erections. My orgasms were not controllable and the ejaculation size was smaller. This is when I knew something was seriously wrong.

Other times, my penis also became very hard and I lost my morning erections. I think the dorsal vein on top is thrombosed. After visiting three different urologists and having a penile ultrasound, I have been told that my blood flow is normal and that there is nothing wrong with my penis.

Obviously, I know better. My morning erections aren’t there. There isn’t the same pleasant “pull” in my erections that there used to be. The angle of my erections has dramatically decreased and there feels as though there is some pressure on the dorsal side artificially forcing it down.

The nerves in my penis are not the same also. My ability to control my ejaculations has decreased and I often feel that I have no control over when I orgasm. Whether or not they return to normal is totally questionable. I have absolutely no idea.

Physically, my penis has lost both size and girth (over 1 inch of erect length) and the head seems to have shrunk quite a bit. There is also an odd shaped ring around the glans of my penis. It is also misshapen by having a very skinny base, fat middle and small head. It appears almost bow-legged. I believe this is as a result of erect jelqing.

Stop worrying about your dick. Go out and meet people. Learn from other people. Get into healthy relationships and your penis issues, if you have them, will go away.

Exercise often. Stretch your limbs even more often. It feels great. Put good, nutritious food into your body. Grow your mind. Thunder has gone to great lengths to help so many men, (he has no idea), but the fact is, your penis is only a small part of who you really are (no pun intended).

I know most newbies who come to this site are eager to grow and eager to make gains, but for God’s sake, GO SLOW and take plenty of rest. Listen carefully to your body, it’s the only you have. Warmup, get a mentor, and take it easy. My chances of recovery are extremely slim at this case and I’ve to deal with so much emotional guilt and depression from ruining my body and decreasing the quality of sex with my future partner.

Do you have any idea the amount of emotional damage that comes from losing over one inch in penis size? I wouldn’t wish it upon my WORST ENEMY.

Never erect jelq unless you are an EXPERT or YOU WILL LOSE SIZE. I promise. Do you hear me?

Also, please, consider making a contribution to Thunder’s Place. It doesn’t have to be huge, but any amount will do. This website gives you so much good, honest advice… I wish I had listened more carefully and had this community when I first started doing PE.

Being that I am new. I completely and fully appreciate your honesty. And I completely agree with what you are saying about socialization and solid relationships as a primary means of diverting ones attention from physical inadequacies (because they ARE in your mind).

That being said.. Is it not the case that your depression and emotional guilt will only further increase any sexual inadequacy you currently feel? I’ve been diagnosed as clinically depressed many times and I’ve been off and on too many antidepressants to count (In retrospect I regret this very very much). There were times in my late teens where I wouldn’t get out of bed for days. And not surprisingly.. This only added to any negativity I was currently feeling towards my life and the state of my mind.

From what I read, I put you in similar shape.. With a physical root cause as opposed to an emotional one. Anyways, I’m sure none of this surprises you or anyone else. Because it is THE fact in life.. We all have our problems and we all need our diversions. From what I read in your post, you write as though you are a broken man making sure the rest of us don’t become you. I’ve felt that shit my friend. You tell me to be careful and I appreciate that more than you know. But I’m telling you the same thing.

I almost erect jelq’d a few times, it’s actually kind of hard mental work to convince myself not to get an erection while doing it.

Wow man, I feel for you. I am truly sorry you have to go through such a traumatic (and crappy) experience with your penis and your life. You are a strong man, and I honestly think this awful nightmare will only make your psyche stronger in the long run…

I was recently recommended to read all of your past-injury posts. Your name came up in a PM conversation when I said that I have not read about anyone that has a permanent injury caused by PE. This man told me to read your story. When I did read your posts, I came to the conclusion that your injury wasn’t caused by PE, but by your masturbation incident.

Now that you are here talking to us and warning us (which is a good thing) I want to know more. If you don’t mind, I have a few questions. Please answer them honestly, and not as if we are judging your decisions. Together, I am hoping we can make sure this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

1) In your opinion, was the permanent injury caused by the masturbation incident or the erect jelqing?

2) There were obvious warning signs (i.e. you couldn’t confidently maintain an erection as it was), but was there anything else that screamed Don't do this! Don't continue to PE!?

3) Before the incident, had you previously purtaken in erect jelqing without an injury?

Thanks. I have a great job in a great city and I would be the most confident happy guy in the world if I could just have this one part of my life back.

The initial guilt and unhappiness has worn off and I’m getting somewhat used to it. It could always be worse.

The masturbation incident was a result of TMS (Traumatic Masturbatory Syndrome, masturbating face down). But the REAL damage (loss of size, girth, and turtled look) came from erect jelqing

It was a vicious cycle. Being addicted to pornography made me feel like I had to masturbate to feel normal. I still feel this way. I’m trying to build a solid loving relationship with someone I care about and I’m now focused on handling that.
There were DOZENS of warning signs. Guys, don’t ignore them! Slow down and be patient!
My ejaculation size decreasing and my erection strength decreasing were the biggest signs something was wrong. This really went wrong when my dick began turtling and the spontaneous erections wouldn’t occur.
Spontaneous erections and morning wood are two signs your dick is healthy. If you aren’t getting those, try resting.

No, never. Erect jelqing was something I thought would help make my dick stronger, however, I fear I damaged the erectile tissue.

My last bit of advice:
1) Listen to your body
2) Stretch your limbs before sleeping (this helps circulation and eases tension).
3) Take a multivitamin
4) Get plenty of water.

I [almost] never had morning erections, not even when a teenager. However I do have normal erections.

I’m sorry that I’m a complete newb but I thought jelqling is good?? Are you saying that you did it at a full erection or?? Ur not supposed have an erection at all when you do them.

Since your a complete newb then jelqing is great, just not with a full erection

I’d start with just maybe 50 or so jelqs about 50% hard, move slowly, and gradually increase to about 150-200 jelqs, shit

Just follow the newbie routine you newbie, that’s what it’s for, even I followed it, and I never do what I’m told!

I’d just do manual exercises for the first few months, I’m just now getting into clamping, I’ll currently clamp with my hand for about a min to build it up.

Stick with it, but if you’re going to pe, you need to hit the gym too, what good is a huge dick if it’s under a beer belly!
