A complete newbie has lots of questions

Hey all!

Over the years, I’ve gotten the idea that safe, realistic PE really wasn’t possible, by any means other than surgery, which is apparently expensive, not guaranteed, and can leave you with a floppy erection. Then I started finding PE forums, with thousands of members and many times more posts, and I started thinking - is it actually really possible?

I’m glad that Thunder’s opened up registration again, because it seems to be the most active forum, out of all the ones I found. It seems like everyone on here is super-knowledgeable about PE, which I find both amazing and daunting at the same time. So I’ve got a bunch of general questions for you all about PE. I tried looking around the forums and could not find any kind of PE starter’s FAQ thread - please point me to one if there is.

1. I’m a really small guy - I’m almost 21 yo and only 5 x 4.25”. I don’t want to be greedy, and I’m only looking to work up to something more average, maybe about 6 x 5”. At least for the time being. Is this something that is definitely possible?

2. What kind of timeframe for this kind of gain are we looking at, if I only want to invest no more than, say, 15 minutes a day?

3. What are the potential risks involved in doing all these jelq exercises and such?

4. Can someone actually end up with a misshapen penis by doing the exercises wrong? For instance, ending up with a penis that has a really thin base and a really thick head? Or getting Peyronie’s disease ?

5. I have a slight twist in my penis, to the left by about 30º. Are there exercises that can correct this as well? Or is there also the potential of worsening this?

I guess I just have quite a few misgivings about the whole prospect of PE. It’d be awesome if I could put them to rest. Thanks a bunch, guys! :)

Hi there and welcome to Thunders.

As far as an FAQ, try the Forum Guidelines. While it has the rules, it might also have a section on frequently asked questions. Also, try the search function using specific key words, and see what you can come up with that way. You can also click on the link called favorites in my signature and I have lots of goodies in there.

As far as time frame, this is not a sprint, it is a marathon. Having said that, some guys do get fast gains, some don’t. I can’t really say much on time as in minutes per day, just be consistent. Now, the newbie routine that you will be directed to isn’t carved in concrete, its a guideline, you will need to adjust and modify as your body tells you to. You don’t want to use to hard of grip, you don’t want to light of grip. And before you ask, your penis will learn the difference between work (PE) and play (masturbation/sex). If you are trying to have sex and Willie won’t cooperate you are probably doing to hard of a routine and need to take a break.

Read, read, read and then read some more, there is a wealth of information on this forum, and yes some of it is conflicting. PE is definitely an individual thing and what works for one might or might not work for another. There are risks yes, but they are minimal IF you listen to your body and respect what it is telling you. Don’t be in a hurry, this takes time, and most of the injuries (not all, but most) are caused by being impatient and not listening to what your dick is saying to you.

Once again, welcome to Thunders, we are a community who encourages each other to work toward and achieve our goals.

sunny A day without sunshine is like a day without laughter :sun:

1. More than possible if you are willing to put in the effort. But a very realistic goal.

2. Maybe in a month. Maybe in a few years. Look up the newbie routine. 5 minute warm up. 5 minutes of stretching. 5 minutes of jelqing. (and some warm down too just to be extra certain)

3. On the newbie routine, I think there is very little risk. If you have ever masturbated, then you have already exerted more stress on your penis. Feel your way into the newbie routine. Start slow. Use the least pressure or strength in your actions. Gradually increase the strength whilst paying attention to feedback you get from your physiological indicators. Like the Sunshine Kid said… read up all about this stuff on Thunders. It will take time, but it really is worth it. I read up for about a month or so before I even joined up and picked up a hell of a lot of information after reading something like this reply. It cannot be said enough. Read up on the basics. The ‘You Are New’ stuff is essential reading. I only just think I got my jelqing right after nearly 5 months! And I was gaining with a bad technique… read up and get it right and really reap the benefits:)

4. Everything is possible… but this stuff for a large enough percentage is going to have no impact to people on the newbie routine. Don’t worry. If it does worry you or you think that you have some kind of propensity towards it (ie family members with such problems) then search out the information with the search function. I would not worry about it.

5. If you stretch in all directions. Jelq evenly through the entire length of the penis shaft, then this may produce a straighter penis. It might not. Again, there are threads on such matters throughout Thunders. To straighten the penis you may need to do something other than the newbie routine. To get to those more advanced exercises, you need to condition your penis with the newbie routine for a longish period of time. The normal recommendation is 3 months. That sounds fair advice to me from my experience. I had a slight bend to the right when I started and now I am straight, but that is just me.

Now go to the f.a.q. link that is roughly in the top right corner. Click it and then you get to the “New To PE” link. And all will be revealed! Good luck. And remember… consistently doing PE will get you there in the end. :D

Great first post! Welcome to the forum.

It is not definitely possible — some guys have a very hard time making any gains — but it is a realistic goal to shoot for. Remember, you will never know if it is possible (or if something even larger is possible) unless you give PE a chance for several months! :)

Some guys will make the kind of size gain you’re striving for with a newbie routine alone (~15 minutes/day) after three or four months. This is unusual, though. More realistically, you may need a year or more to get to your goal, and you may have to invest more than 15 minutes per session (PE sessions, however, need not be every day!).

3. What are the potential risks involved in doing all these jelq exercises and such?

You can fuck up your dick in all sorts of ways, but none of them will happen without warning if you ease gradually into a reasonable manual routine. Listen to your body, and take a look at the Injuries forum if you have any concerns about "symptoms" that develop. If you go attach 100 lbs to your dick or pump up to 15" Hg, then you may experience a more sudden catastrophe :)

4. Can someone actually end up with a misshapen penis by doing the exercises wrong? For instance, ending up with a penis that has a really thin base and a really thick head? Or getting Peyronie’s disease ?

Many men notice changes in their penis shape due to PE. Some get the "baseball bat" effect from jelqing — thinner at the base, thicker toward the midshaft and head — while others experience a "tree trunk" base due to hanging. Some notice that their natural curve, left or right, up or down, decreases with a steady PE program, while others notice an increase. It is very hard to predict how your dick might change size or shape due to PE, but any changes will be gradual, and if you don’t like what you’re seeing, you can seek advice on the forum about how to try to correct the issue you encounter. To answer your last question, a reasonable PE program is highly unlikely to induce true Peyronie’s disease, which requires the formation of scar tissue that forces a bend in the penis. Most curvature is not Peyronie’s.

Twist or curve? Try using the Search function, in either case; this question has been discussed many times before. The general consensus is that there are some techniques that may help correct curvature (e.g., jelqing against the curve, or using an all-day stretcher), but the results are not predictable. PE can, as noted above, definitely exaggerate pre-existing curvature. It’s a risk you take.

firegoat is fully RETIRED from Thundersplace.

All injuries happen from "too much", or "too much, too soon" or "doing the exercise incorrectly".

Heat makes the difference between gaining quickly or slowly for some guys, or between gaining slowly instead of not at all for others. The ideal penis size is 7.6" BPEL x 5.6" Mid Girth. Basics.... firegoat roll How to use the Search button for best results
