I do not know how much you expand though. So you may be fine with the 2.25” Honestly 2” is a touch small BUT what brand are you using or planning on?

2.5” is a bad idea. That’s the same cylinder size that caused the issue I have. And there is a lot of issues with sealing early on unless you start high pressure.

I’m definitely starting low. Especially after seeing the post you linked yesterday where another member was overpumping and caused severe damage.

Starting low pressure, especially if you’re going to ride it low pressure regularly, a 2” from either manufacturer should be fine.

I chose Pumptoys VelSeal after using a couple of Vacutech’s Thickwall and Elliptical and getting serious pain, then using CTC’s cylinders (which are made cheaply to save on cost and make it easier to upgrade to but don’t use male to female connectors and flex more than I’m comfortable with) before coming to PumpToys and getting a VelSeal 2.25” and 2.5” (which honestly doesn’t fit but around the base doing mid to high pressure work) and not looking back.

You won’t regret your choice with the VelSeal in my opinion. I can pump much longer with the cushion on the bottom and for length work with a pump (which isn’t optimum for length but you know this) time clocked in the tube in total is paramount.
