Hi,

I’m doing the newbie routine, and am finding a distinct type of, well, fatigue I guess in the kegels. Does anyone else feel that 50 reps at 5 seconds is a lot of kegels?

Also, do you guys pulse, or hold the kegels?

Traditionally you are supposed to hold them for 5-10 seconds but I usually alternate.

It is a lot if your muscles down there have not developed yet. As you practice and time goes on, it will get easier and easier. At my peak of doing kegels, 50 was nothing, but I have stopped for months and I’m sure I couldn’t do 50 good, strong kegels.

Try both short and long ones, I believe they have different benefits.

the best way to do a proper kegel is to do it in bed with your legs slightly spread apart then put your hand over your the lower stomach muscle close to your hip are that breath normally and feel the muscle tighten then in sync or unison bring the entire pelvic floor muscle up and hold for ten seconds 10 times.
Do not squeeze or breath improperly or use your stomach to kegel that is not a kegel.
A reverse kegel is just the opposite and it is good to delay ejaculation however must be done breathing calmly.
The other PC exercise is to tighten the area around hidden penis and your prostate gland in order to stimulate erections.

A guy I know works in one of the very few semi-tall buildings in Albuquerque. He didn’t look fat; but, he was one of those skinny-fat people. 25% body fat and zero muscle tone. I had him fast step up and down 2 flights of stairs with me. Gasping for breath and sweating like a pig before we even got back down. They get to snack at their desks so I had him start spending his lunch 1/2 hour in the stair well. Two months later and he now does 30 flights every day.

50 kegels is nothing… in a few months. Right now it might be to much for you.

Alex553, at your peak of kegeling, what differences did you see, and how significant were they?

I have a 25 minute train ride to work. In the mornings I do the rapid fire kegals, around 2000. On the ride home, I do the “hold” kegals, 2 0r 3 hundred. Throughout the day, when I use the restroom, I try to get in 10 contractions per evacuation of bladder.

After 2 months, it will be a breeze for you. Plus, if you aren’t already, you may become a “shooter” instead of a dribbler. It’s also healthy for the prostate.

Kegels!!! They are the exercise for the muscles in charge of pumping the blood into your unit. If you dont do them and keep doing PE you will loose EQ. and end up with a big floppy penis.

I assume you know how to ‘rev’ you unit IE: make it swell up and engorge further. so To work these bad boys.

Get a good erect. 70-80% and rev your unit up and try to hold it like that for 1 second. do 10.
then rev up and hold it for 5 seconds. do 10
try to rev up and hold for 30 secs. do 3
then do another 10 1 seconds holds.

that will get you started. once you get used to the feeling of contracting these muscles you will be able to do the kegel squeeze anywhere you like. at home, car, work, anyplace, even during sex to help stay off ‘the inevitable’ haha
