3 months of penile traction. My experience thus far. My hope revitalized.

Hey everyone, a long time lurker here and novice PE’er. About myself, I learned about “jelqing” from a friend 14 years ago and have never put enough effort into it to see any results.
I always felt insecure and still am about my penis length and girth. My BPEL was 5.1” and max girth about 4.4-4 5” on Oct 20, 2018 (has been this size for ~14 years). As of Nov 22, 2018, I have gained approx. 0.25 inches in non-bone pressed flaccid length/girth. (my goal is have visibly greater length/girth, especially when flaccid) My average/shortest flaccid NPBL was ~2” give or take (sometimes it is 3.8”) and flaccid girth was 3.4/3.6”.
This is what I have done so far.
1. Started penile traction (expensive andropenis device on Oct 20, 2018) and took some before pictures next to a measuring tape. I wear it for 4-8 hours at a time with 5 days on, 2 days break.
2. I have worn the traction device to work and home consistently for 50 days now. It was damn painful on my midshaft, uncircumcised skin. I have decreased pain by using a silicone sleeve over my unretracted forskin. I realized that leaving my foreskin unretracted is superior to pulling my foreskin back behind the corona. By placing the silicone sleeve behind where my head would be(with the thick end behind my head), gave me the most success with the least amount of slippage with the “noose” system.
3. I have used visible red light led therapy(667-700ng) almost daily to enhance healing and warm-up. About 3 joules/cm^2 per treatment. I have the LED bulb about 12 inches from my penis for 1.5 minutes at a time. It subjectively feels like it is doing something. Not sure but no side effects thus far. I hope it mimics injury with vasodilation, increased NO2, provide increase in ATP for cellular division, increase collagen/fibrinogen activity.
3. I have been taking supplements in order to enhance healing. 8g L-arginine and 8g L-citruline, 2g Lysine(I know this may counteract arginine), multivitamin, SuperGreenFood(high amount of phyto nutrients, beet powder, etc), Ashgawhanda root powder, and protein powder(casein and whey).
4. I will only measure and record once a month. I am incorporating 5 minutes of beginner PE routines and stretches while taking daily showers. I have hopes that I will have increased my NBP flaccid length by 0.3” in 3 months on Dec 20, 2018 and an increase in all other parameters. -beyowulfe, newb

Looks like a good routine. Be consistent and look for indicators such as decreasing tension at your typical extender length position as well as well as reduced noose tension required to stay in place and not slip.

These are indicators that additional length might be able to be added to the extender rods, in other words, advancing progress in the extender.

Stay patient and stay consistent.

I noticed that you are one of the most active members on Thunder’s Place and you always have a thoughtful reply.

I noticed that the traction device for some of us, has a steep learning curve (based on our individual penis’s anatomy and our own knowledge)

Like you’ve said LE, consistency seems to be the most important out of everything that I have learned so far. I use the positive indicators like increased morning woods(daily now), harder erection quality(I have mild ED), larger hanging flaccid length, increased vascularity, increased sensitivity, and nice level of soreness as daily motivation. I noticed a decrease in porn use, increase in exercise, improvement in my nutrition and water intake are unexpected positive benefits as well.

Setting the tension was confusing for me at first. I realized that setting the tension and where the head of my penis is on the cradle/noose is super important. At first, the noose would not stay in place (no matter how tightly I pulled the noose which is always a bad idea. It cuts too much circulation and causes numbness) Instead, I was conservative, decreasing the bar’s length to 1-2 cm below my maximum stretched flaccid length.(I can now comfortably set the tension to almost my max stretched flaccid length) The size of our head, corona, and girth also seems to affect the setup as well. When I would try to pull my foreskin back and place the noose behind my corona, this would slip in minutes. After looking at how my foreskin slides forward and backwards in the traction device, I realized that there is enough surface tension (especially with the silicone sleeve with the thick end behind my corona) to give my penis enough girth, provide skin protection (chafing is real), and allow the noose to stay in place, even with movement, walking, standing, working, etc. (this was previously impossible for me)

I noticed that a very mild/transient loss of sensation does not seem to be a bad thing so far. The noose and silicone combo does impede some circulation (more with increasing the bar length and traction). That’s where I test the sensation frequently, checking for numbness, edema, or coldness.

I have been successful in increasing the bar length of my device my a small margin. I use the tiny (5mm, I think) extension, and 2 cm bar. The length of the bar is 9cm total now (just the bar and not including its attachment point and saddle)

The pictures and my measuring method helped me with accountability and honesty.

I do not have a foreskin and I also use the strap instead of the noose. I found I can use higher levels of tension with the strap. However, I think whether one uses the noose, strap or vac head type of holding device comes down to a lot of the nuanced differences between our penises, which you have pointed out.

I am constantly taking breaks every 30 to 45 minutes to allow my head to recoup circulation. It’s part of the grind.

I might be in a situation where I am looking at another 6-7 month stint of PE with minimal gains. I have been here before and not surprised if I am there again. However, all the time I have put in is not for nothing, it will be what is the foundation to my next increase on my way to 7.5” BPEL.

We believe, we push forward and we eventually break down the walls in front of us.

Well said! I forgot to mention that I use velcro-straps that I modified to pull my midshaft as well. (to correct the slight bend) This seems to take some of the burden off the noose.

Your goal of 0.25 inches, or 3.4% increase in length to 7.5 inches sounds like more than a realistic goal.

Even though I can wear the device for 1-2 hours at a time before I take a break, I’m starting to believe that it’s the total duration and time spent in good traction is more important.

Whether our penile skin is thickening and stretching (penile girth), lengthening (similar to hanging) by pulling our suspensory ligaments down, creating a scaffold for cellular division and repair in our smooth muscle and spongiosum. I think regardless of the mechanism of action, the fact that any body part (neck rings, ear/lip guages, tendon/ligament stretching) all create permanent lengthening due to the duration in time that body part is stretched (excluding bones, nerves, and hair) gives me hope! Good luck LE and I will update again in 9 days. This will make 90 consecutive days of disciplined PE/rest by traction.

To be honest, I was skeptical and thought that the studies were flawed and overly optimistic. Well, I gained some size. I measured over and over again with inches and centimeters, checked with a conversion calculator for consistencies, and then photographed my measurements.

Are you making a routine when you don’t wear the extender? It would optimize your results. In fact when i do my routine in the evening my penis is more elastic the next day and this helps me a lot with the use of the extender.

Meduno, That’s an excellent idea. I do incorporate very basic beginner routine including the warm ups in hot water (large mouth bottle), 670nm red led lamp, then couple minutes of stretches, and basic jelq techniques during hot showers. How often do you jelq during the week? Do you take rest days as well?

My hope is to rely on the extender as the main PE as much as possible because I actually want to see if this expensive device will work for me. All the extender studies never mention any jelqing or manual stretching along with extending, so it should be interesting to see if it enhances growth.

I’m also debating if “rest days” are necessary or not like in regular muscle-building exercises.

I do my routine every day and often i take a pause of 1 day from it but i use extender every day, without any day of rest. The goal is making the penis more elastic every day, in this way it will grow before in its flaccid status and then in the erected.
If you want a more comfortable device you should use a vac system, when you will use strong tractions it will be too hard using a system like that of andropenis.

Thanks I-beam! I appreciate the words of encouragement. I see that we had similar stats at one point. I feel super motivated to continue to journey! Only time will tell.

Thanks Northeaster! There is no secret, just good, old-fashioned hard work. This is the most consistent that I have ever been in PE. Good luck northeaster on your PE journey!

This month has been inconsistent due to moving and traveling abroad.

I would say that from December 20th to Jan 23rd, I did traction 20 days out of 34 days. The sessions were shorter about 4 hours each time. I was going to measure today but got busy again. I also have a cheap, but well built ADS device that is reasonably comfortable when walking a ton of distance. It uses a silicone ring around the corona, pulling downwards with 2 straps from the silicone ring to a strap wrapped around below my knee. It is virtually invisible with pants. I wore the ADS device 10 days out of 34. This is more for anti-turtling and a little bit cementing some of my gains thus far. I jelqed for 12 of those days.

There are some noticeably positive changes. I see stretch marks near my base(I use skin oil for it to minimize the appearance and chafing), hair running higher up my shaft, my foreskin is retracting more while erect(My foreskin seems to cover the head of my penis less), and flaccid appearance is better than before traction.

I also changed my measuring technique. I was using a super flexible seamstress measuring tape, while pushing my penis downwards.(This probably artificially lengthened my actual length by a few millimeters.) I now have my penis pointing straight in front of me, while placing a hard ruler to my penis.

Now this is the crazy part. Previously, I had to push into my pubic bone aggressively, while pointing my penis downward to be barely over 5 inches when erect. But now, when doing a bone pressed measurement, I am gently pushing the ruler into my pubic bone, with some room to spare. (at least a few millimeters)

I measured 5.5”(clearly) on several of those days with little to no effort with some room to spare. (not digging into my pubic bone).. But this is the crazy part.. I am using a solid ruler, and no longer pushing my penis downwards. I just allow my penis to point forward. (my length should have decreased with this measuring technique). Even with my sporadic PE sessions, I am still growing?! I will verify all this tomorrow. Good night all!

Beyowulfe, great to see you are still on the hunt! Life will always find its way to insert itself and get in the way and as you are, we just need to sprinkle PE into all those nooks and crannies that we find.
