2 Months In No Gains

2 Months In No Gains

I am on week 8 and have no measurable gains yet. I’m doing the newbie routine. I have flaccid gains but not erect. 2 days on 1 off for the most part. I started light and worked my way up until one day around week 3 I realized what overworking looks like. It looked bruised and smaller than it had been when flaccid. I took a couple days off then started working out again. Last week I did it again. I think because I let myself get a little too erect during jelqing. I notice my conditioning is there, I can do more reps at higher intensity than when I first started but I have not been able to gain anything. This is why I have been trying to increase the intensity. After 4 more weeks I will be done with the newbie and if I have nothing to show for it what should be my next step? I have a pump that I tried years ago from LAPump connected with a brake bleeder. Hanging sound like you need a lot more time than I have. Phallosan seems convenient but expensive. I guess I am a hard gainer.

5 min warm up
5 min stretches
25 jelqs straight out
25 jelqs reverse grip down
25 v grip up
Repeat jelq routine

Maybe I’m not doing enough reps?

There are many factors that could play into you not gaining - there is no such thing as hard gainer, you just did not discover what works for you; a few of these
factors:
- intensity: too low, too high
- duration: too short, too long
- exercises: X and Y might not work at all, even though they do for like 80% of PE people, whereas Z might work wonders…
- rest: perhaps you are not a 2 on 1 off guy.. perhaps you benefit more from 1 on 1 off, or 1 on 2 off, or.. 5 on 2 off, …
- healthy lifestyle: diet / exercise / sleep / …
- heat?
- ..

The best strategy is to to first, start out with a newbie routine. Its purpose is not to give you gains asap. Its there to condition your dick first and foremost, gains are just a bonus.
Many newbies gain while they are in the newbie phase, most likely because of EQ improvement. So either your EQ was already top notch or the exercises you use
in your routine just don’t do it for you.
Thats not a problem though. Once you finish your 3 months of conditioning, you should look to switch it up.
I personally would just exhaust all possible combination of routines, every type of exercise, every type of resting phases/cycles and so on. Pretty much
play with all the factors until you see gain.
Every “setup” of these factors should be tried for 4-6 weeks.
Now this is where journals come into play, thats why they are very important - you need to be able to draw conclusions after 1-2 years when you look back.
You will see that at certain periods, you have gained so and so while during other periods you have gained nothing.
Thats how you narrow down what works best for you. You were just unlucky that the current setup of your routine doesn’t give you gains. Don’t be sad about it.

Edit: To not get lost and to know approximately in which direction you should go, you can use the PE-compass, aka PIs (physical indicators)!

Stay consistent. Good luck

Then: 6.5 BPEL | 5.5 NBPEL x 5.5 MSEG | 5.0 BEG

Now: 8.11 BPEL | 7.24 NBPEL x 5.5 MSEG | 5.0 BEG

Goal: 9x6 || My journal

Addendum..

I started out with this routine and it worked for me:
- 10min warm up
- ~5 min: left, right, out, up, down stretching: 25 kegels during, once finishied, do 10x rotary stretches each clockwise & counter-clockwise
- ~24min: (50 wet jelqs + 30 v-jelqs) x3
- edge.. tons of edging, like first month, I edged nearly 2 hours since I read somewhere from some big gainer that he attributed all his gains to it.. Im still edging at least 1/2 hour, sometimes 1 hour..

2 on 1 off

Intensity: As hard as possible as long as it doesnt hurt. Pretty much at the border. Might be bad advice though, but you decide for yourself.
I don’t think you are stupid enough to exercise in pain…

Best regards

Thanks for the help. My erections have always been rock hard so I can see how that would help those who didn’t achieve gains. This week I started edging right after my session (2x so far) I will continue this trend and document everything now in a journal. I am in this for the long term goals but that initial gain is what I desire to prove that it’s working! Since I started though my erections are so hard now that masturbating doesn’t feel as good anymore. Sex is more intense feeling but that may be because I masturbate less now.

What are your stats?

Try allowing at least 6 months for any initial gains; a couple of months you’re just at the beginning of a long road. Patience!

Welcome mate.

It is too early yet. I have seen erect gains in the 4th month when I was a newbie.

Keep in mind flaccid gains come before erect gains. So IMO you are in a good way.

Try doing one week 2on 1 off and the next week 1on, 1 off.

BPEL 7 EG 5.5 NBPEL 6.5 Flaccid length 4.5. Started Jan 2015 at bpel 6.5 nbpel 6.0 and eg 5.2 flaccid length was 3.5

I have reached my goal. At least for now.

I have procrastinated buying a ruler so I have no BPEL. My NBPEL is 6” base girth 5.25” mseg 5.5” under glans 5.25” I measure at least 3 times a week and today I had a was bigger than 5.5”. I am very consistent with measuring pressure using a tailors tape so I know it was a gain of nearly 1/8” mseg. Today was a day off but I still edged because I wanted to measure. Should I not do anything on a day off? I can’t tell you how exciting this was!

On days off, do not touch your dick at all!
Natural erections are ok, everything unnatural (e.g. induced by you through touching or watching porn) is not!
Sex is ok too though since Sex > PE.

Other than that, you might have gained BPEL.
BPEL and NBPEL sometimes don’t grow at same rates. My BPEL grew before anything NBPELwise changed. Get a wooden ruler and properly track it!

Furthermore, I have read now multiple times why edging actually is so good and what it does:
As we all know, length gains usually come first as BPFSL then over time transition to BPEL.
Edging (and also girth work) seems to speed up this process (BPFSL -> BPEL)!
Dunno how much truth there is to it, but edging is very key, at least for me!

Edit: Congrats on girth gains. I have yet to see some :(

Well another week in the books and each measurement after that gain was back to normal. It was a fluke I guess. I am near the end of this beginner routine with no gains so I decided to change up my routine. Now I do longer sessions with 120-150 jelqs. One day on one off. I pump at 3hg after manual stretching and jelqing. I measured after my pump session and got to 5-5/8” mseg. That’s a 1/8” temporary gain day one! Had sex that night and I was harder than ever. I have pumped in the past but with no jelqing or warming up and had the ring under glans. That’s why I stopped years ago. Now when I pump after my manual routine it doesn’t happen. I will continue this for a couple weeks to see what happens.

I pumped again today after manual routine and measured 5-3/4” mseg right after. It doesn’t last very long though an hour later I checked again and back to 5-1/2”. I will probably only pump when I have extra time.

Newbie routine should be considered as a “conditioning” routine, don’t expect any measurable any gain while at it (6 months minimum).

If you do gain few centimeters, you are lucky.

Start 6.8” x 4.7” (4.9" BEG)

Latest 8.2” x 5.1” (5.3" BEG)

I realize that and I’m on week 10 so not much left. I see the difference now. I don’t get as sore or discolor as I did when I first started. This is my 3rd time doing the newbie in as many years. I have never gone this long or been as consistent. I’m not sure what to do next? Continue adding the pump? I know of all the different exercises and devices out there but what’s best to move into right afterthought he newbie? I can’t find anything discussing the transition from beginners.

No. This time finish the newbie first.

Stop for a week.

Then you can pump and start again with the newbie adding 10-25% more every week until you finish again. Combined with a little pumping should give you nice results.

After finishing that too, take a week or two off and then proceed with dry jelqing and pumping for as long as necessary. How is that for a schedule?

Huge breakthrough! I think I know why I had one big measurement out of nowhere. I lift weights on a normal basis and take c4 pre workout formula. This was in my system I believe because I just did an experiment and it worked! C4 is a NO2 supplement which expands blood vessels to help muscle building/workouts. I took my scoop and went to the bathroom to edge/measure. When I got it hard I measured 5-1/2” mseg. As the stuff kicked in (you get tingles and itchy skin) I measured again and boom 5-3/4”. I believe this is a huge breakthrough for erect exercises or just take it before sex! I want to know if anyone else has tried this? Maybe this post should be copied to another area as well.
