When the PDE5 drugs don't even work...

So tonight was my first chance in two years after a divorce. Took 20 mg last night of Elitenet powder and a few more mg this afternoon.

We both wanted it so bad, but I couldn’t get it up. It has been getting harder and harder just to do PE with the drugs, no chance w/o them, except

maybe early am. This was so depressing. How many cases out there of ED so bad the drugs don’t even work? And what then? Had not drank a drop

or eaten dinner. I take a beta blocker, HCTZ and lisinopril for blood pressure (only things that work). This is not good, it just can’t stand.

9/21/07 6.25" 4.75" 8.25" 5.65" 9.20"

Whoa, I don’t know what half those drugs are. But even your post reads a little high anxiety. I guess it’s to be understood though.

Several things come to mind right away.

Stop PE’ing for a few. Take a little break, You could be over stressing things even if you think you’re not.
Tire willy out and he’s going to nap when he wants, regardless.

Eat. Take care of yourself. I screw better if I’m not hungry.

Divorce? How bad was it? Are you still F’d up emotionally over it? As much as us guys hate to admit it, we are a little psychosomatic once in awhile.

And last, if morning is your best time for good wood, then do her in the morning?

I don’t know the particulars of your condition. Medical? Hopefully others will offer their experience / advice.

I was gonna say, RootCap's hot. - kitten

Are you out of shape by chance?

I exercise every day. I really like this lady, so the divorce isn’t an issue-that was two years ago. I have to stop

PE, just to for the process of elimination. The drugs are beta blocker, diuretic, and ace-inhibitor, in that order.

Combinations are becoming popular for BP problem cases. All good advice, and appreciated. It still seems like

the tadalafil should work for me more reliably.

That combo is a popular one for anti-hypertension drugs. But the beta blocker and the HCTZ often cut down on erectile function. Ace inhibitors usually have far less negative effect.

Have a serious talk with your doctor, explaining to him that you want to have your cake and eat it, too; that you want to have good erections _and_ control your blood pressure. He’ll work with you to get to that goal. One suggestion (though not the best drug in every case), ask him if Cozaar might work for you. It’s an angiotensin II receptor antagonist with a very low profile for causing erectile dysfunction. But there are many other things to try.

Also, you might have better luck with the legit drugs rather than the generics: Viagra, Levitra, and Cialis. And don’t worry. Even if they don’t work for you, there are other drugs that probably will.

I understand

I suggest you add a cockring to the scenario.

Avocet, I tried Cozaar before, and like many others had painful joint side effects. But I had those with lisinopril by itself
and don’t now. Stopped smoking 16 months ago-could have helped, but sure didn’t with ED. So I may try it again and see how it works.

I will look into the cockring, but I would rather not have to deal with it.

Thanks, everyone.

Depending on your age, your endocrine system should be checked. Have you tried Viagra? I’ve tried V and C, with C I have very slow results and not as violent as V. With V I walk with a steel cannon between my legs. Also somebody mentioned anxiety ans could be a possibility also. After two years, you are too excited of this moment; and even though maybe you think you are all right, our subconscious can say something different. I’ve been there before.

Present: 8.75" BPEL, 9.25" BPSFL, 5.3" EG

Goal: 1' BPEL, 6.5" EG

I’ve had plenty of instances where the drugs won’t work. The usual tell tale sign with me is that if my nose gets stopped up, I will be able to make it. I still never get a 100% rock hard erection but it’s just enough to get penetration with. If my nose doesn’t stop up, I don’t get anything. Now without any drugs at all, it’s totally impossible. I haven’t had an erection better than 50% on my own in many months. In fact I can’t remember when the last one was. I’m guessing at least 7 or 8 months ago and maybe longer.

I second this advice, except I’m not sure it should be age dependent.

Formula, what do you think is going on for you? My timeline is similar to yours, viagra and cialis have worked until the last few months. I could be hanging excessive weight, since there seems to be less sensitivity under the glans. The morning wood is still sometimes pretty hard, but rarely.

So an endocrinologist or a urologist?

I’m looking into meditation and yoga to try getting off medication, but my kidneys are either the cause or the effect, I believe.

I would second the suggestion to use a cock ring. You could use a black o-ring from the hardware store, 2” I.D. or thereabouts. Put it around your whole package and go to town. Nothing to mess with really.

I also agree with Avocet about the beta blocker and the HCTZ diuretic. I have found that HCTZ at 25 mg has a major adverse effect on erections. I’ll be trying a different diuretic - Lozol - which supposedly has fewer sexual side effects. We’ll see.

You might also try a calcium channel blocker, like diltiazem or norvasc. I’ve had good luck with them with no sexual problems.

Anyway, good luck.

Good tip, Chuck, about the Lozol. Thank you.

Either would be able to do labs and treat you if necessary. If a urologist can’t handle it he will refer you to an endocrinologist.

What about that anti-hairloss medicine, are you taking that? Seems to be a lot of negative crap associated with that.
