I haven’t read all 3 pages yet, (Wow I am glad I started this thread though) But trust me guys, wellbutrin is used by docs everywhere to INCREASE sex drive. It almost ALWAYS does. I have to work at getting hard, and with wellbutrin I was hard as a rock without being touched by my ex. It does it’s job well but I did not like feeling like I was on speed all the time. Looking back I should have just stayed at the 150 mg dose and never gone to 300.

Anyway, Fourofakind sorry if I came off um.dick-like. Haha, I’m just used to getting snapped at by some mean people on here over nothing!

I agree that it lowered anxiety level, even though I seemed to be sped up, my whole body was more relaxed.

Let me also add, that this thread is NOT ABOUT SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION.

I would prefer all posts about that to STOP.

This is about me informing people, it helped my gains while I took it, I hung lower, my erections were harder and much more frequent than when taking cialis, and I am wondering if anyone else got similar results from it.

More importantly, I am trying to find out: HOW TO GET THAT SIDE EFFECT BACK, without taking it again.

Maybe high amounts of L-arginine.

I have low neurotransmitter levels in my brain. Dopamine and nor epinephrine are two that really pay to have sufficient amounts of.
I am now trying Mirapex for the dopamine because Wellbutrin raised nor-epinephrine way more than dopamine, some doctors claim it only does nor epinephrine, being as it only showed to raise dopamine in rats, and they haven’t proved it to work in humans or some ridiculous shit like that. Dopamine does not feel like speed.

With these levels low, libido is down, drive with EVERYTHING (Yes even sex =( is down) it is a nightmare being as nobody can find a way to treat me.

According to this site it seems to increase dopamine, which from what I’ve heard can raise libido.

I will state this again. IT ONLY PROVED TO DO THAT IN RATS.

I have had many doctors say it really only dose nor-epinephrine. There was one dopamine re uptake inhibitor that hit the market, Survector. It was taken off kinda quick, which is stupid, it cured ED extremely well, and made people feel great always on the seventh day. However it was giving people severe acne on their chests for some reason and also was reported to have a slight abuse potential (so what, be more careful with who you give it to then!)

How do you know that the bupropion is not treating your underlying psychiatric disorder and returning you to normal sexual function?

ironaddict69 - I am now remembering a guy who had that “speedy” side effect from Wellbutrin like you had. His doctor ended up cutting his dosage in half to 150mg a day, and putting him on the NON-TIME RELEASED generic. That seem to do the trick for him.

Good question. Some poeple came quicker from it, but I sure didn’t although I have never had that problem.

It very well could have. I like your thought process.

My problem with it was I could not eat much on it, and I was losing hard earned muscle tissue. I worked my ass off to get to 225 lbs. And come to think of it, it kind of took my interest away from things. I didn’t care about lifting that much when I was on it, or sex as much, I just was super hard so I would use it.
