Viagra when you don't have ED

Are there any possible negative side effects for someone who has no problem getting an maintaining an erection but wants to try Viagra once just to satisfy the curiosity about what it does?

Assuming good overall health, especially heart function, I think you should be OK.

Good question. Viagra is becoming more popular amongst the younger crowd.

I read somewhere (I’m not claiming it’s true or not) that constant viagra use by healthy males can build an addiction and in the longterm it can potentially cause ED as the body is used to getting an erection from viagra all the time.

It seems the dependence is not physical, but mental. Mostly in the form of, “Will my girlfriend notice a change in performance if I stop taking it?”

Even though a study was done showing that the body had a reduced response to the drug after long-term use (tachyphylaxis) it turns out that the study was flawed. That’s not the same as a dependence, but is in line with what people think happens when the drug is taken for long periods.
